Jordan Peterson’s comment was that it will take a long time (20 years? A generation?) for people to regain trust in the Canadian banking system, and he’s probably right.

how difficult would it be for Canadians to open U.S. bank accounts and shift most of their reserves into those accounts for protection from Canadian despots?

Canada has 7 or 8 major banks which is why this WEF fellow Freeland tried it. It caused a run on the banks which caused the CEOs to complain to Freeland and Trudope. US has thousands of banks and if my CEO tried to go along with this kind of policy here, he would have a major employee insurrection on his hands.
