Electric cars burning aboard ship full of Porsches, VWs, Bentleys [UPDATED]

Uh, the ship is burning five above the water line from one end to the other. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I’m betting the cars are toast. Literally.

Nah, they just need crews on scene for 7 to 8 hours and pour 40,000 gallons of water on each EV car fire.

A normal car on the other hand can be put out in just a few minutes with 300 gallons of water.

We had a golf cart catch on fire in a parking garage. That wasn’t so bad, but the 300K Lamborghini next to it was an issue. The insurance guy was pale, the fire marshal wasn’t impressed, and the building’s management was scared. I think shortly you won’t be allowed to park those rolling fire bombs in side anymore. The water damage was epic!!

I recall Richard Hammond's crashing a Rimac (entirely his fault) took three days to extinguish the fire.

Out of curiosity, why was he carrying around enough baking soda to douse a car fire? That’s a real “Be Prepared” moment!

Every ship fire I’ve ever seen, or ship firefighting trainer I’ve ever been too... The smoke was black denoting a Class Bravo fire fueled by oil, grease, diesel fuel, plastics etc. That smoke appears to be white, which denotes a Class Alpha fire fueled by wood products.

Well, for starters, he always owned Volkswagons, LOL!

Secondly, he was a Prepper back before it was cool, so there was always enough ‘emergency & bug out stuff’ in our family car & truck that there was hardly any room for US!

Very few fire dept’s have the necessary equipment to extinguish this HAZMAT fire.
