Justin Trudeau, current Prime Minister of Canada, and heir of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, is angry. There are truckers – lots of them – clogging the streets of Ottawa, honking their horns, and revving their engines.
Raised in privilege as a Prime Minister’s son, Mr. Trudeau doesn’t believe that he should have to listen to the people’s voices, let alone their engines.
So, he has ordered police to steal the drivers’ fuel and even impound their vehicles. He has ordered banks to confiscate their bank accounts. He has even decreed a national emergency – which he didn’t do for the virus, by the way, only for the truckers’ convoy – and in so doing, jeopardized the majority status of his party, since virtually everyone knows that the Emergencies Act was never intended for anything like this.
Yes, this is a big demonstration. Yes, it’s one of the biggest in Canadian history, possibly THE biggest (though there are different ways to count such things). Yes, the closure of a couple of bridges was a noticeable hit to the economy for a few days - though not nearly as severe a hit as two years of mask mandates, social distancing mandates, lockdowns and shutdowns have been, and we don’t see him apologizing for those, do we?
But there is something about this particular demonstration that the extremist pro-max-and-vax fringe crowd might want to consider:
That it could be worse.
The Canadian left is horrified that, in some small measure, a group of truckers are creating minor inconveniences at certain choke points across the country – blocking a few border crossings and tying up traffic in the federal capital.

He is in a minority government in cooperation with the NDP, not a majority. The protests that caused delays and stoppages at the Ambassador Bridge in turn caused suppliers to the automakers in Michigan to be held up and then some plants were closed, putting people temporarily out of work. This is why Premier Ford stepped in in that instance.
The people who control Trudeau have given the truckers an all or nothing proposition, intended to provoke violence, so The Controllers can start killing normal citizens under the guise of stopping domestic terrorism and white supremacy.
The very absurdity and factual nullity of the guise is part of the provocation.
The Truckers do have a very difficult decision. If they make the more difficult decision, they could use an enormous amount of support from American truckers, who do not seem to be very interested.
Now that several areas in Canada are relaxing mandates what specific mandates would apply to the truckers protest?
Do they still have requirements that truckers in Canada be vaccinated to operate or do business that crosses the border?
I concur 100% with your #4.
The truckers are not interested in “relaxed” mandates that can be dialed up and down at the whim of the tyrants.
They are not interested in, “Massa don’t beat me hard no more.”

I’m totally on board. I think it’s great to see this movement and hope it spreads. But if the truckers were asked.. ‘What are your demands? What would it take to meet them?’.. what would a comprehensive answer be? Just in our opinion what would constitute a general victory?
.
All vaxx mandates and passports scrapped. No vaxx passport to cross provincial or int’l border.
This all started with Canadian truckers because most of their trips are cross-border. Telling a Canadian trucker he has to be mRNA injected to cross into the USA is essentially putting him out of business. U.S. truckers have 48 continental states to drive to.
Imagine of truckers from CA, AZ, NM and TX were not allowed to leave those states without a jab passport, and the govt was about to extend the law to say they could not even travel BETWEEN those states without it. That’s Canada, that’s why Canadian truckers led the movement.
An unjabbed American nurse can move jobs, move states, etc. Canadian truckers were being threatened with total doom and an inability to pay their bills (truck payments) or feed their families.
Yeah certain provinces relaxing indoor mask/vaxx mandates won’t help much...the main issue was/is the cross-border vaxx mandate for drivers which is a national govt./Trudeau rule. The US has also implemented a similar rule.
“..the main issue was/is the cross-border vaxx mandate for drivers which is a national govt./Trudeau rule. The US has also implemented a similar rule.”
That’s what I was thinking. So now we are looking at that rule here and in Canada as a measurement of who ends up blinking. My money isn’t on the cowardly lying chickens**t tyrants.
It’s not just truckers. They are the minority. It’s thousands of citizens participating. The truckers just started it.
My son is a trucker. Before he turned 21, he wasn’t allowed to cross state lines by DOT rules. Since we live in a small state, he moved to a large state so he could get a trucking job.
Even during his CDL class, he couldn’t cross a border as a student with an instructor in the right seat.
Even in a large state it was an impediment to getting a job. He’s now 22 and runs semi flatbeds and wide loads for a lumberyard.
At one time, that might have been called slavery.
I remember that many years ago there was a Union Pacific Railroad strike. A saying bandied about at the time was “Every day of the strike will cost about $300 Billion”.
But NOBODY has said anything like that about this trucker’s strike. It is comparable to Canada having a small to mid sized economic artery bleeding freely.
Does anyone know how much this is costing Canada?
Trudeau is reminding me more and more of the classic Fred Blassie song “Pencil Necked Geek”.

The cops are staging near the blockade this morning. Apparently they are going to attempt a takedown today. That’s going to look so democratic as the world watches. 😐
