PING!
Every bureaucrat loves the word “resources,” it’s something they never have enough of to do their jobs.
He needs more brownshirt stormtroopers.
He wants more money and stuff for his department.
Meanwhile he is using 3 cops to arrest a 78 year-old-man who is about 5’0” and about 110 pounds.
Perhaps he should reallocate the “resources” that he has.
I admire the Canucks masterfully waging Ghandi-like peaceful civil disobedience but it would never work here. On the first day , we’d be facing the armed thugs of the lefts’ Einsatzgruppen, BLM and Antifa, and would be fighting for our lives.
That would involve making a decision, which might be subject to review and scrutiny.
It means the cops are on the trucker side.
Everyone in the protest, when asked says the cops are on their side.
They also love to use the word ‘partners’.
It makes them feel like they’re not alone and implies that more ‘resources’ are being brought to bear.
Bureaucrats are inherently insecure people.
I hear in some cases in Ottawa, they are arresting people for show, and then dropping them off a few blocks away.
Everyone in the protest, when asked says the cops are on their side.
*************
No, the cops will always be on the side of their paymasters.
Well, at least he is privately living his “Plant based life!”.
He doesn’t want to do anything against the truckers. Lack of resources is a great escape valve, and he is probably keeping his police force content.
This would have been a brutal drinking game.
And if the Truckers change tactics and all fall in line by REFUSING ALL DELIVERIES to Ottawa, he will Crying about “resources”
“Every bureaucrat loves the word “resources,” it’s something they never have enough of to do their jobs.”
For managers in private industry, when an economic slump comes budgets and manpower are cut, sales and profit goals remain the same and sometimes increase. A problem that government bureaucrats never face.
The manager in private industry faces termination if she or he does not make the goals set by upper management. The bureaucrat who misses goals stays in position for the length of a career and retires with a big pension.
He is very much willing to do something his rank and file officers not so much.
Or he is waiting for the federal government to send troops so he is not to blame
It shows that the guy is a version of Dilbert’s boss, one of the clowns that festoons the modern bureaucracy, who has not and cannot do anything but of whom the bureaucrats above are deeply enamored because they are equally incompetent and feel better when people like this are working for them.
This guy is a psycho. I’ve watched some of his pressers. He wants really bad to kill some people.
Well, he’s a buffoon, so......
