Anyone who thinks Kevin McCarthy would make an effective Speaker of the House should reassess.
(snip) Years later it was discovered that Kevin McCarthy was living with pollster Frank Luntz in Washington D.C. despite having a wife and kids in California.
And in May of 2021 McCarthy said, ““I don’t think anybody is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election. That’s all over with.”
On Thursday McCarthy described the January 6 protests as a “violent insurrection.”
His goal is to please Democrats and the media.
The Daily Mail reports:
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has conceded that January 6th was a ‘violent insurrection,’ saying he agreed with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s description of that day.
‘No one would disagree with that,’ McCarthy told reporters on Capitol Hill on Wednesday.
His clarification comes after McCarthy was mocked by Democrats for walking away from an ABC News reporter who was asking him about the Republican National Committee censure of Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney for serving on the committee investigating the insurrection.

Actually I should amend my comment above. I’m not a Republican , I left the party about 15 years ago.
You know they have an agenda and are corrupt. If they weren’t they would be stating the truth. January 6th was a 99.9% peaceful protest about election integrity. There were a very few who went into the house and even fewer than that who were violent.
It wasn’t a riot. It wasn’t an insurrection.
Why do some of the people in this country allow themselves to be fooled by this guy and the rest?
Anyone living with Luntz is NOT to be trusted. Yet, he will be re-elected.
Given what a POS he is, the people in his district should not be seduced or convinced by any ads the the RNC, RCCC, or any other “Conservative” PAC runs in his support. I’m sure there has to be some small business owner in Bakersfield or surrounding area, that everyone knows and can get elected. And from what I’ve been told, Bakersfield is pretty legit Conservative country.
A trucker from South Jersey took on the entire State Democratic Machine with less than $10k. It can be done.
The violence was instigated and mostly perpetrated by leftist and anarchist infiltrators. They continuously over look that.

Calling what happened on 1/6 is a complete disconnect from reality, which they are willing to do to follow CommieRat order. It is looking more and more like a REAL insurrection in Washington is the only hope that “We the People” have left. . . despicable and disgusting!!!!!
The sad fact of the matter is the majority of the GOP in congress agree with these two douche bags. They hold us in contempt and believe every word the media and their butt buddies the Democrats tell them.
End the Republican Party. Withdraw all support. Form the MAGA party. TO HELL WITH ALL OF THEM.
