No it is insane and you are a DNA denier.
If being a straight white male is so great, why are they all in a rush to get out of it?
Romans 1:18-32 … they may not be in a rush. This may be to warn others that, not unlike how honest coal miners would respond in a canary died in a coal mine, that the proverbial air (the doctrines they accept) they are surrounded with is bad, spiritually lethal even.
Flee from them, do not have fellowship as they — seeing the proverbial canaries die around them — press deeper into the mine where the air is even worse.
It depends what he defines as “Christianity.”
If he really means organized religion, from his experiences that may be a valid statement.
No, that doesn’t make any sense.
Good point.
regardless of who says this, ive heard it and variations of this over the decades, and it is just a dodge to allow the person or persons to avail themselves of Cafeteria Christianity....
they pick and choose what to believe, despite the centuries of biblical, historical, church teachings that date back to the apostolic age.
by denying anything accept for ‘jesus and me’, they can disparage what the bible teaches, or what their church teaches biblically, etc, cause it makes their life easier...their vices are something that are between them and jesus, and no amount of biblical admonishments to the contrary will be accepted......
it’s a shame, but nothing that hasnt been seen before for a thousand years of christian history....and it wont change anytime soon.
With how the current pope does things, can you blame him?
did you actually read my post?
Pre stroke dementia?...delusional gender dysphoria? Drug induced psychosis??...schizo affective disorder? Depression? Anxiety disorder? Non compis mentis? Loose neurons?
Lots of rambling
Yea I suspect they mean organized RELIGION.
There is no such thing as Christianity in the Bible.
The first reason I make this statement is that the word “Christianity” is not found anywhere in the pages of the Bible.
Second, “Christianity” as it’s defined isn’t found in the Bible.
“the religion derived from Jesus Christ, based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic, and Protestant bodies. (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary)
Dictionaries derive the definitions of words based on the fact of how they’re used in society. Although “Christianity” wasn’t used in the Bible to describe an amalgamation of thousands of denominations, that’s precisely the way it’s used in our time.
With this fact in mind, recall Paul’s statement to the young preacher Titus in 2.7-8:
7 in all things showing thyself an ensample of good works; in thy doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, 8 sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.
“Sound speech” is healthy speech, just like a sound horse is a healthy horse. We should use Biblical language to describe Biblical concepts. If a concept cannot be described with scriptural language, the concept itself probably is not scriptural. If Jesus, Paul, John, and Peter never used the word, perhaps we shouldn’t either.
