I suppose one could argue that the vaccine is against their religion, but those exemptions seem pretty hard to get. So not sure this has anything to do with vaccines.

I believe it depends on how they are worded.

It's also possible that some companies are denying exemptions and banking on employees not pursuing relief via administrative and judicial means. Of course some companies make it easy to pursue for relief - as I believe some have been quoted as either putting in writing or on a conference call that they will deny exemptions - before they have even reviewed applications or exemption. That's a target rich environment for an attorney to exploit.
