After 20 years of marriage, I was divorced by my wife in 1998. I compare that to what has happened to this nation for those of us that love the country.
That is, even after we’ve seen the cheating and all the other problems, we still tend to see her as the girl we married. And then one day we realize that that girl is long gone.
That is how I see this nation now. Look around the cities. Look at the boarded up buildings in the small towns. In a very real way, we have become one of the third world countries. We just have a hard time seeing it because we still have all those fond memories of all the freedoms we’ve enjoyed - freedoms we no longer have.
This is a very dark time for our nation, but it will get a lot darker before this thing is over. Prepare.
Very well stated, you sum up my thoughts exactly in an eloquent manner.
Yes.
But what really frightens me is how so many people are so totally CLUELESS
about such a GREAT MANY THINGS.
And I don't just mean political issues. I mean simple, practical
matters - things that folks simply need to know
in a modern society - just to function and SURVIVE.
People have just seemed to have become extremely more stupid.
And I don't believe that it is just a figment of my perception -
I think it is really true.
I try to be a helpful person - but I'm getting sick and
tired of explaining the simplest of things / tasks to people.
It is getting harder and harder not to become a person
who frequently says:
"If you don't understand this very simple little thing - then suffer and die, you moron. I will not assume the burden of you ignorance-caused problems."
Stop with the endless anecdotes and soliloquy. Nobody cares.
i will say this much, L.A. is a third world hole, piles of garbage on freeways from the 1000”s of homeless, homeless camps on public sidewalks.
