If a republican had sided with the dems it would be reported as reaching across the aisle in a bipartisan vote.
Exactly, both efforts, to pass a voter take over bill and end the filibuster were defeated by a simple up and down vote with a bipartisan majority voting to defeat them. This is what Chuckie Schumer wanted and that is what he got, quite bitchin!
