If Trump is going to be eclipsed in the GOP or defeated, it’s going to be from someone like DeSantis who has learned from Trump, but can make the case he is better-suited to advance a new, more comabtive and populist party https://t.co/73WVsUPbkK via @politico— Rich Lowry (@RichLowry) January 20, 2022
Thank you @GovRonDeSantis! Phenomenal leadership on the #edreform front! https://t.co/mTAr5EtHoJ— Jeb Bush (@JebBush) February 5, 2019

Nevertrumpers and Rinos are pulling hard for Destantis.
famous last words.
They are not pro DeSantis they are just antiTrump. Don’t fall for it.
Oh yeah, only RINOs like deSantis.
Good God.
Free yourself from this slavish devotion.
I think they would hate DeSantis more than Trump.
If DeSantis ever actuality becomes the nominee, or becomes president, you can be assured, the media will start saying, “Compared to DeSantis, Trump doesn’t seem so bad. Etc.”
Wow. The article is difficult to read. The author needs help.
I could not be more of a Trump fan and have been since her first walked onto the stage for the first Repub candidates’ debate. But...
Trump has so very many detractors, is so controversial, and TDS runs deep. I’m not sure he could win again. DeSantis, imho, has a better chance.
Nevertrumpers and Rinos are pulling hard for Destantis
I`m neither, but DeSantis is more original than Trump. Trumps rally are all the same to the point of boring. DeSantis goes after the government and counter move everything Biden does to Florida. Either way, Trump only has 1 term in him by law. Might as well as go for someone who is just as bold and can serve 8 years.
Some are, some aren’t. The ones that are, are doing it strictly because they believe Desantis has a legitimate shot, not because they align with him on a lot of the issues, because they don’t.
That was the core point of the article, which has been made by others - Donald Trump’s main weakness is to someone running against him from further to the right. And if you look at the DeSantis agenda, and his accomplishment sheet, that’s the territory he’s staking out. You can see it starting to take shape in the recent back and forth between them over boosters, and shutdowns. The ones not so evident yet are things like gun restrictions, and LGBTQ support. This doesn’t mean that they are on an inevitable crash course, and I certainly hope they are not, especially right on the eve of DeSantis’ re-election campaign. But it would be hard to argue against DeSantis being more conservative, if you actually put their core principles down on paper.
