While Alec Baldwin was patting himself on the back for FINALLY complying with a search warrant for his cell phone, the set armorer made the shocking revelation that the actor REFUSED to attend a cross draw safety meeting.
What exactly is a cross draw safety meeting?
= = =
It is a meeting where you are angry, and make sketches to illustrate safety practices.
That is what Arex’ drawing is; it is just late.
Cross draw means you wear a handgun butt forward and reach across your body to draw. This is usually done to look cool.
When I’m hunting I shoulder my rifle sling on my right side so if I’m also carrying a sidearm I carry it cross draw on my left side.
Keep talking, Alec.
They did not let her on the set because of COVID. When they did that she should have refused to issue any arms. The guns were not under her control.
There were 11 Producers. He was just given the title producer because he was the star. There was an Executive Producer who managed things and other Producers who put up the money.
There were big problems that people were apparently plinking with the fun replica revolvers and there had been 2 other incidents on live rounds being fired on set. All of the this the Armorer, Director, and Executive Producer should have done something about well before the “accident”, and actors and staff should have brought the problems to those peoples’ attention.
All of this might not have been as big a problem if Baldwin wasn’t playing with guns or whatever with a weapon he didn’t check or see checked that probably shouldn’t have been loaded at all.
...laughing...
"When I go to Walmart" really helps your readers visualize the details of your true story testimony, of course.
Thanks!
Single action repro of a Colt SSA.
Actually, no movie experience at all. Regarding Baldwin, someone definitely screwed the pooch but I have a hard time thinking it was him.
On the other hand, I haven't spent any time looking at it.
Thanks..informative video.
I have been shooting since my teens. I was schooled well by by mentors. When I am at a shooting range with my friends and I shoot his weapon I can observe him clearing the weapon and inspecting it for safety. I then inspect it also.
That is just the way it is.
He has also handed me a loaded weapon and told me the same. I still inspect it to make sure there is not a round in the chamber.
That is just the way it is.
You are correct. The pistol was a single action revolver.
Requiring a cocked hammer and a trigger pull to fire this weapon.
