Speaking of censorship by Google, I just saw an article from 2019 about Google's blacklist of news sites. Among the blocked sites on the list is freerepublic.com.

Google harassed the whistleblower who revealed the list by having the police go check his mental health, reminding me of the way the Soviet Union weaponized psychiatry against political dissidents.
