So out of nowhere last Wednesday I had the sweats followed by the chills. On Thursday the fever was gone - not that it was much, just 100.1 - to be replaced with a dry cough and extreme fatigue.
I tried to get tested. My doc referred me to a testing center that couldn't see me for a week. I checked out both CVS and Walgreens, but nothing anywhere near me for about a week. I finally ordered tests online, but they won't be here until Thursday.
I still have my senses of taste and smell. My only persistent symptom is a scratchy throat.
I've loaded up on vitamin D and zinc. I have been trying to get ivermectin for the past few weeks, just in case, but no go.
I think it is just about over. Any suggestions?
Get a good form of quercetin, maybe liposomal, and pick up some EGCG. Both of these are zinc ionophores, like ivermectin or HCQ. They help your body use the zinc against the viral activity.
I got an oximeter about 5 years ago when I had a double PE. That was as a result of leg surgery done by an idiot. Haven't dropped below 90, most of the time around 95.
I also got a scanning thermometer. Got tired of waiting for the oral one. Took forever.
If you want proper medical advice, you should go to medical professionals that actually can physically assess you, determine your history, do proper testing and offer professional opinions and options based on the assessments and testing.
Here’s a chart of what vitamin blood levels mean. BTW, I’m 6’4’’ 290lb (Power lifter). My blood level is 55. My wife is 5’... 110lb. She is at BL 65, taking 5000 iu.
Why is that?
That is part of the problem. The sheeple have overwhelmed local testing. I can't get in for another 4 days and then can't get results for another 3! Plus they are asking if I am vaccinated. I'd rather not share that info with anyone but my doctor.
I ordered a test online. Should be here Thursday, just in time for it to be over.
You only have a 99.7% chance of survival.
Where can a person go for that? No doctor in the US can give truthful advice about Covid without losing their license to practice medicine.
I have the gastrointestinal version from h3ll: Lost taste and smell on Dec 31st, No fever at home, Nausea all the time, extreme dry mouth, horrendous diarrhea, water tasted too bitter to consume and a wee bit of an ocasional cough. Walking around almost impossible. Really had to work at ingesting fluids. Still do.
Got the monoclonal treatment Friday night, the 7th, which just kicked in late last night. Better somewhat. Now water products are mega salty tasting. (It is weird, as I consider the saltiness to be fake, but it is curling my lips like the salt is real) Dry mouth has improved. Stomach upset, not nausea. Still in bed. (My house does not have a good place to sit up)
Sounds more like a winter cold
Fatigue will probably stay with you for a week or two after you’re better.
If you have a lot of mucus that hangs in your throat, a nice productive cough will be a gift from God himself. Did a lot of cleaning with that cough.
You basically described my wife and I in the middle of December.
I’m an 83 year old male with both Pfizer Vaccines in Feb. last year. My wife will be 82 in a few months. She had the same vaccines on the same day that I did.
Your symptoms, “So out of nowhere last Wednesday I had the sweats followed by the chills. On Thursday the fever was gone - not that it was much, just 100, for a few hours - to be replaced with a dry cough, stuffy nose and extreme fatigue.”
Except, I had hot flashes and cold flashes for 2+ nights.
Also, a dry cough and a stuffed up nose. It started to break on the 3rd day with a close to 3 hour slumber not a nap in my Lazy Boy after the second night of hot flashes and chills.
My stuffed up nose eased up, and I only had to use Afrin in the morning and evening before bed.
By the third night, my Cpap readout, started showing a good trend.
My room mate of 60+ years started the hot flashes and chills after I came back to norm. It took her 3 nights get over her flashes and chills. Her energy level stayed low for at least a week.
We both felt good enough on 2 Jan to have our family in for pizza, opening Christmas presents and not collapse during this mild celebration.
No one in our family caught or transferred anything and no masks were worn. Family members from the East Coast and up and down N. California were here.
Had the same starting Christmas Eve. Low grade fever went away in two days, but congestion and cough continued for almost 2 weeks. I have glaucoma, so I cannot take any decongestants or antihistamines. Stayed on vitamin c, D3, zinc and quercetin. Used colloidal silver spray into my nasal passages and the back of my throat and tonsils. Cough was reduced quickly and significantly.
Feel almost 100% now... So hang in there, I’ve had worse bouts with regular flu years ago.
BTW, I am 66.
If it is what my son had (sounds very similar), mucinex helped a ton.
Cannot get vaxxed for 90 days after monoclonal treatment. The doctor recommended. Here in Michigan it was walk in at major hospital. Had to have proof of positive test.
🤦
Tried TS. Not available. I keep tablets rolling in every 30 days or so from a place that shall remain nameless.
Covid is so 2019.
