So out of nowhere last Wednesday I had the sweats followed by the chills. On Thursday the fever was gone - not that it was much, just 100.1 - to be replaced with a dry cough and extreme fatigue.
I tried to get tested. My doc referred me to a testing center that couldn't see me for a week. I checked out both CVS and Walgreens, but nothing anywhere near me for about a week. I finally ordered tests online, but they won't be here until Thursday.
I still have my senses of taste and smell. My only persistent symptom is a scratchy throat.
I've loaded up on vitamin D and zinc. I have been trying to get ivermectin for the past few weeks, just in case, but no go.
I think it is just about over. Any suggestions?
Also get NAC and take 1,200 mg per day.
Zinc/Quercetin treats viral replication on the front-end. NAC treats oxidative stress and organ failure on the back-end.

if you live near a race track, might try and pick up some ivermectin.
Get an oximeter, and periodically check your readings. If they go bad, contact your doctor.
Lots of liquids and rest. Other than that, not much to do unless you get really sick in which case go to the ER.
It will be gone by the time your receive your tests.
I got sick on the 20th of December. Headache and 102 degree fever. Went and got tested the next day (21st) - got the positive result the day after that (22nd), but was already feeling better with no fever or headache. My treatment was an extra gin and tonic and going to bed an hour earlier the night I had the fever.
By the next night, I felt fine and was moving on with my life.
On top of the supplements plenty of fluids. I personally treated my Rona mostly with Scotch.
Covid treatment is highly politicized. This is probably the best place to get an honest answer about it. I would trust a FReeper before my doctor, who is required to lie in order to keep his license.
Yes. People who in fact need a test can’t get it because of the mass hysteria and everyone getting tested and buying the kits.
You should be fine. We all got it around Christmas.
Very few symptoms.
You got it worse than I. I had sniffles a bit. Little brain fog a day or two.
If we didn’t know from a test we wouldn’t have thought much about it. It would have been like almost having a cold.
Yes, but keep in mind that generally speaking a “medical professional” will do NOTHING unless you become sick enough to warrant an ER visit.
I’m on day 5. Same symptoms plus some others. Got tested Friday at a county pop-up facility, but they’re swamped so no results yet.
Popping C, D, Zinc, Quercetin, IVM... plus a ZPack and steroids to knock down the throat infection which has persisted and gotten worse while the other symptoms have been fading away.
I credit the Zinc with shortening my sick time relative to other times I get sick in winter. I was over it in 4 days except for the little cough which went on for another week.
Licorice root breaks up congestion even candy works, just make sure its licorice root and NOT favoring , and I don’t care what anyone thinks, but hot cinnamon or chia tea with a shot of Fireball often got me a nap at least!
Two Common Over-the-Counter Compounds Reduce COVID-19 Virus Replication by 99% in Early Testing
Benadryl and milk
Yeah. Right. That’s like saying I am going to rely on a political arm chair person who is hiding behind a handle on a website air to tell me how I can repair my gas furnace over a licensed experienced Technician.
Give me a break.
And because Covid is so highly politicized, it is even more important to sell out the medical professional.
You’re probably through it with a nice, new, long-lasting immunity.
The following link is, IMHO, extremely important to you:

Takeaway: Don’t forget Quercetin and VitC!
I’d say you’re probably done.
Just two hours ago, I left the hospital here in Colorado after having a “’scopy”, and got talking with my RN about staff shortages due to mandates, and she said the biggest challenge right now is that their beds are filled with just normal flu patients. Hope you get better, soon!!
“It will be gone by the time your receive your tests”
Yes.
But you can still test positive.
Immune system neutralizes viruses but they still stay in the body a while and will give a positive test.
You’ll be fine. Just a bad cold. I suggest using a humidifier. It helps with the cough.
I just recovered from a plain old upper respiratory virus. Z pack, oxy cough medicine, zinc and calcium C.
Quercetin and tea with honey.
“...but hot cinnamon or chia [think you meant chai] tea with a shot of Fireball often got me a nap at least!”
I’ve been a big believer in that “hot shot” toddy for years before this virus and found it to be effective for getting rest while also clearing mucus/upper respiratory symptoms.
