So, after 2 years, and all that has gone on, I finally know someone directly who had passed from Covid.
Didn't know him well, a coworker, and a very nice man. Leaves behind a wife and a college aged daughter.
Over the last 2 years, I have known many people who have gotten sick, some severely but majority, a few days to a few weeks of feeling like crap and back to normal... Some have been hospitalized with severe cases, but all have recovered, though some have been facing very very long recoveries and are still not 100%.
I have before this, indirectly known of people who have passed, none directly, friends of friends, coworkers of friends, etc.
This is the very first person I know, that I can personally say I know this man, and he died of Covid.
I knew it was just a matter of time, before someone I knew would perish from this... law of averages and all. I fully expected it to happen long before now, honestly.
Anyway, this isn't meant to be a political post, just felt like sharing.
I’ve know 2 people who knew someone who died.. supposedly from covid.
Didn’t go into the health or age or weight in either situation.
I believe I’ve had covid and a variant. Was not worth 2 years of freak out in my note so humble opinion.
Or, destroying the Trump economy.
I’m so glad you got over it and didn’t end up in the hospital....death traps.
I’m so sorry. That’s exactly how we felt with out friend. Isolated and he fought the vent. They killed him anyway.
I had another friend they tried to murder and she fortunately had her phone and made a video of her situation and sent to friends and they got an attorney and state law maker involved and they forced the hospital to discharge her. The only treatment offered was Remdisivir and vent and she said no and they left her in her room to die, no visitors or alternative treatment.
The hospitals and doctors at this point know they are murdering patients they have too.
Depends on the day. Grouch/grouch/grouch may do at times!
This place does not absorb information very well. It's still like they never heard of it after all this time for many. Looks like that cost another life.
I agree! There's no other way to think.
There have been some cases where a judge has ruled that the hospital must give HCQ or Ivermectin to a patient and the hospital has still refused!
Doesn't make sense if they're trying to save people.
alexander_busek: Those have NOT been the facts promulgated to us since "Day One!" And a few major "facts" are missing in your list:
6) The "vaxx" is ineffective. a) It is conspicuously LESS effective than any other vaccine ever "sold" to the American public in the last half a century. b) It does not prevent the illness. c) It does not prevent transmission.
7) The "vaxx" is dangerous (can have significant after-effects).
HamiltonJay: 6 and 7 have ABSOLUTELY no bearing on 1-5, thinking they do is comical. Vax effectiveness or ineffectiveness do not change 1-5 at all.
alexander_busek:
Never said that #6 or #7 invalidated #1-5! Don't put words in my mouth!
However, additional facts can change how we respond to previous facts. This is called context.
You admit as much in your subsequent statements: They may change the percentages in terms of likelihoods of the outcomes, but they do not change the facts... nothing about 1-5 changes because of the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of any vaccine other that the percentages that will get it, get sick from it, get severely sick from it and die from it.
So you and I agree: PERCENTAGES MATTER!
Thus, e.g., if a) the vaccine is 99.99% effective, and b) the vaccine is extremely safe, but c) the virus is moderately contagious, but d) the virus is relatively harmless, then => Breathe a sigh of relief, get vaccinated, but don't bother undertaking any further measures. Don't, e.g., be concerned about others being unvaccinated.
However, if a) the vaxx (not a true vaccine) is only 45% effective (and that effectivity continues waning over the course of mere months), and b) the vaxx has significant deleterious side-effects, and c) the virus is moderately contagious, and d) the virus is relatively harmless, then => Put on your thinking cap and decide what is best for you individually.
All I have said - and continue saying - is that, DEPENDING UPON THE PERCENTAGES (and, in particular, the percentages RELEVANT FOR YOU, personally), decide for yourself!
Regards,
Have deliberately omitted additional possible considerations, such as: speed of mutation, protection afforded by natural immunity, etc.
Deserves repeating! Bravo!
Regards,
Your numbers sound plausible.
"I know 100 people (and each of those 100 people know another 100 people => I indirectly know of 10,000 people).
Two died* = 2 / 10,000 = 0.02%.
A nothing-burger.

* Allegedly OF covid.
I had an Abbot Labs home self-test that I took, and it indicated positive. I took pictures of the test strip with me to the facility, however nobody even asked me to see them - they just seemed to take my word for it.
The treatment itself consisted of 4 injections. One behind each arm, and one on each side of my lower abdomen. Afterwards I just waited in the observation room for 30 minutes before being told I was "good to go".
This was in FL, where they have/had antibody centers opened across the state, 7 days a week. The Biden administration has taken control of the monoclonal antibodies and lately has cut off Florida's supply; which to me is equivalent to mass murder.
Ah ha! Florida! Dan Bongino had the same experience there. Thanks for a great testimony to what can/should be done. Take Care!
