So it finally happened, after just shy of 2 years, someone I personally know has died from Covid 19 - VANITY

So, after 2 years, and all that has gone on, I finally know someone directly who had passed from Covid.

Didn't know him well, a coworker, and a very nice man. Leaves behind a wife and a college aged daughter.

Over the last 2 years, I have known many people who have gotten sick, some severely but majority, a few days to a few weeks of feeling like crap and back to normal... Some have been hospitalized with severe cases, but all have recovered, though some have been facing very very long recoveries and are still not 100%.

I have before this, indirectly known of people who have passed, none directly, friends of friends, coworkers of friends, etc.

This is the very first person I know, that I can personally say I know this man, and he died of Covid.

I knew it was just a matter of time, before someone I knew would perish from this... law of averages and all. I fully expected it to happen long before now, honestly.

Anyway, this isn't meant to be a political post, just felt like sharing.

My nephew late 20’s and his gf, late 20’s had covid earlier in the year..very mild case just the sniffles, fever for a day or so etc.

They have it again right now, he is recovering after 3 weeks. she is still in a very bad way.

Both are in exceptional health and both are fitness nuts.

The only person I know who died “from” covid was a late 90s woman at church. She had a stroke and died. The hospital said she had “presumptive “ covid. Go figure.

My post was a mere request for additional information. I made no claims or statements requiring "specifics and relevant data" to buttress them.

HamiltonJay, however (towards whom I bear absolutely no ill will), submitted a vanity which, standing on its own, raises more questions than it answers.

If it had been a solicitation for "prayers" or a even only a request for consolation, I would have complied without batting an eye. But it clearly raised more questions than it answered.

So, while your expression of condolence is not in itself objectionable, I think it clear that HamiltonJay viewed this vanity as a mere invitation to discuss the subject. It thus represents no breach of piety to pose pointed questions. (His subsequent post #98 confirms my assessment.)

These are the facts of this and have been from day one.

1) It’s an airborne virus, YOU WILL BE EXPOSED, NOTHING, and I MEAN NOTHING will stop this.

2) A certain percentage of those exposed, will become infected.

3) A certain percentage of those infected will have bad cases.

4) a certain percentage of those with bad cases will not recover.

5) A certain percentage of those who do not recover will have no known health issues before getting infected.

That’s reality folks... has been from day one, and anyone telling you anything different is LYING to you.

Those have NOT been the facts promulgated to us since "Day One!"

And a few major "facts" are missing in your list:

6) The "vaxx" is ineffective. a) It is conspicuously LESS effective than any other vaccine ever "sold" to the American public in the last half a century. b) It does not prevent the illness. c) It does not prevent transmission.

7) The "vaxx" is dangerous (can have significant after-effects).

its a real disease, and no matter what some folks want to believe, you can be absolutely perfectly healthy and be struck down and killed by this... the idea that ONLY sickly people, or folks with “co morbidities” die from this is as much of a lie as being vaccinated will ensure you won't.

So is that the best summary of your point of view? Are you trying to warn those of us who have never heard how deadly Covid is? Do you think we all live under rocks and no one else has provided us with this information?

You do realize that a sick old fully vaccinated person is ten times more likely to die from any form of Covid than a young healthy unvaccinated person. And that is even with the intentionally skewed numbers being provided by our highly biased government agencies and unvetted sources such as world-o-meter. For healthy young folks the risk of death and serious injuries from the "vaccines" are far greater than the risks from the actual pathogen. This is more true now with the prevalent variant Omicron than ever before. The vaccines have little if any protective value against Omicron, and evidence from all across the world is suggesting that it actually has negative efficacy.

I have known several people who have COVID listed as cause of death. At least one suffered a recurrence of laryngeal cancer and may or may not have actually had the virus in his system. At that time everyone who died in the hospital was listed as COVID which is what happens when FedGove is offering hospitals large bounties for dead COVID.

6 and 7 have ABSOLUTELY no bearing on 1-5, thinking they do is comical.

Vax effectiveness or ineffectiveness do not change 1-5 at all.

They may change the percentages in terms of likelihoods of the outcomes, but they do not change the facts... nothing about 1-5 changes because of the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of any vaccine other that the percentages that will get it, get sick from it, get severely sick from it and die from it.

All any vaccine ever does regarding flus is reduce the likelihood of bad outcomes, that’s it, it doesn’t eliminate them, it doesn’t stop their spread, nor can it.

You want to go on a rant about that, feel free, but it doesn’t change that 1-5 have been true from day one (long before any vaccines existed), and are still true today.

Any vaccines that ever exist WILL NOT AND CANNOT CHANGE THE FACTS OF 1-5, they can change the percentages but not the fundamental facts... never could, never ever will.

The manufacturers of these vaccines aren’t making the ludicrous claims that they stop the spread or prevent death, those are idiotic pundits and politicians, just like idiots on the other side making claims that if you recover from Covid you are immune from getting it again.... All of those claims are absolutely lies.

1-5 are the truth, have been the truth since day one and will be the truth no matter what vaccines exist today or are created in the future. No matter how effective or ineffective, they will not change 1-5... 1-5 is TRUE of all the flu viruses.... Whether they be the common influenza a or b, or this novel Covid 19... these are wholesale fundamental inalienable truths about them, and anyone who has told you anything different EVER about this is flat out LYING to you. I don’t give a damn what their politics are, or which side of the aisle they are drawing their lies from.... anything else claimed is an abject lie and has been since day one.
