Tucker Carlson hosted Ted Cruz tonight. Cruz tried to minimize his comments re: 'terrorist attacks' on the Capitol. Tucker didn't let him off easy. Citing his intelligence and carefulness with words, Tucker pushed back against the Senator's explanations.
I didn’t see it, but I don’t see how he can come back from making that statement.
Either he is an idiot and not future president material or he is just another swamp creature and not presidential material for me.
Hell no. He acted like a fast talking cuck. He lived up to the Lyin’ Ted image.
I heard a rumor on a Houston syndicated radio station that Mssr. Cruz might be running for President. So, of course, he would wish to distance himself from ‘the deplorables’.
He just screwed himself in that gyration.
It looks like Ted Cruz just committed a political suicide attempt.
Did Cancun Cruz apologize for using those words?
If not, why not?

Ted tried to weasel out of it and Tucker would not let him.
Best TV this year so far.
He’s a weasel and he knows he stepped in it.
His ambition knows no bounds.

Cruz knew he was gonna take a beating. He took the beating. He came as close as a politician ever will to saying “yeah, I effed up.”
But Tucker called him out. Would not let him slip off the hook.
I’ll probably see if I can find a clip of this on YouTube in the morning, I’m still doing something of a media blackout today. Stressed enough already from other things.
With Ted Cruz’s comments and future aspiration to higher office, like with Mike Pence, let the chips fall where they may.

“Cruz might be running for President.”
That was mentioned on Real America’s Voice today, too. But there was no “might” in the statement; it’s pretty certain.
If you have to explain something, you’ve already lost.
Cruz claims that he always calls people who attack policeman “terrorists“. He says he’s been doing this for years. Well, I want to see the videos. I give him credit for going on Tucker but he lost. I don’t like Trump’s calling people names but Lyin Ted fits.
Cruz won’t get 1%, he might as well save his money.
I watched it. I don’t think he apologized, but he admitted that it was a dumb mistake. He was really tap dancing.
He basically kept trying to say that they were ill chosen words. That he was referring specifically to persons who attacked police officers. Tucker pushed back against the idea that punching police officers constituted ‘terrorism.’ He cited his work getting 11 Senators to oppose certification of some electoral votes.. etc.... Tucker wasn’t buying the ill chosen words part.. citing his intelligence and carefulness with words.
