Politico Column Slams U.S. Constitution as Undemocratic
Newsbusters ^ | January 5, 2022 | P.J. Gladnick

Or perhaps the goal was to just undo that great architecture and supplant it with something inferior.

You know how irked Robin is with our system of government right away just by reading the title: "Republicans Are Moving Rapidly to Cement Minority Rule. Blame the Constitution." And since this is January 6 week where it is mandatory for all liberals to obsess about that date, Robin starts off with that but only as a segue to his Constitution slamming.

Apparently they are going to blame their big midterm elections losses on the Constitution.

Among other things, The Constitution is designed to protect me from American Marxists forcing me into a Marxist fascist society.

It’s undemocratic because it guarantees a “Republican” form of government.

It’s supposed to be undemocratic, otherwise you would have mob rule.

Those folks really want a war.
And they are doing a great job of making their wish come true.

“ protect me from American Marxists forcing me into a Marxist fascist society.”

Marxists and fascists are opposites.

the US Constitution was not designed or intended to be “democratic” except for the House of Representatives

the Founders of our Republic worked assiduously to avoid the dangers of too much democracy

a la Plato and historic experience (as we have seen also with Franch history, etc)

Frank is less than an expert on this topic.

I graduated in 1964, Calif public schools.

From about 4th grade through 8th, statewide, we had Social Studies. It included, over time/grades, both U.S. and foreign geography, cultures, economies & products, and governments.

To graduate into high school, passing a comprehensive, in depth, course in the U.S. Constitution was required.

To graduate high school, passing both Civics and U.S. History classes; and Western Civilization/(Western) World History was required.

Social Studies, nor Civics, replaced or overlapped the other.
