A so-called author couldn't be bothered to do the bare-minimum research when she wrote her book and claimed that Kyle Rittenhouse (not guilty) had shot two Black men.
The author who wrote it is named Kara Cooney and her book is called "Good Kings." At some point in the last chapter, she made a massive mistake about Kyle Rittenhouse, who shot white guys, not Black guys, and now some say she could be in deep water or up to her head in lawsuits.

Who does Cooney think she is; a NY Times reporter? Rittenhouse should stick it to her for millions.
Apparently Kara Cooney lied. Considering the publicity this case received, it is hard to believe she didn’t know that he shot white guys.
Cooney incorrectly states Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed “two Black men in Kenosha, Wisconsin,” which Cooney wrote occurred while Rittenhouse was “waging a glorious race war on behalf of his inherited White power.”
Publishers are held to the highest standards of accountability where plagiarism and libel laws are concerned, since it's part of their daily business.
Kyle will be able to retire soon.

It’s a symptom of the media. LOADS of people were utterly convinced that he shot black men - then didn’t believe it once they heard the truth.

Her editor was probably a part time fact checker at Faceplant.
So yeah, tiny detail of the book with a big mistake about a massive American issue. And that’s on me. But the white supremacy is still a problem. And the misogyny is still a problem.
National Geographic has to have deep pockets..
