"The new year brings 287 new laws to Illinois – including one that will allow children to operate a lemonade stand without having to go through the red tape of acquiring a government permit. ..."

You just know that the left will begin replacing those American kids at lemonade stands with illegal aliens just like they do their parents.
Great. They STILL want to amend law preserving people’s medical autonomy to exclude VID measures, meaning that they can mandate all kinds of medical procedures if they want to.
Super duper.
“You just know that the left will begin replacing those American kids at lemonade stands with illegal aliens just like they do their parents.”
My money is on them selling drugs from those stands.
A law to permit something? Sounds like there was a law that should have been repealed.
No its a law to prevent karens calling the cops on kids’ lemonade stands.
The Marxist are doubling down. Soon they will make people wear peter meter chips, tax intimate activity and require permits for pregnancy.
These Marxist nuts need to be hauled up short and often.
The Lemonade Stand permit was the brainchild of the moronic Limpdick Durbin. That dumb SOB spent millions promoting and getting this low IQ law passed that children must have a permit to open a lemonade stand. This idiot is still wandering the Halls Of Congress infecting his fellow legislature’s minds with stupidity. Why?
There a couple of pop up stands in the neighborhood.
I stop, purchase a cup, give ‘em some spare change, swap howdy’s, drive off, turn the corner and empty the cup out the window. Young entrepreneurs need business, they need their spirits lifted by a sale or two.
One state and 287 new laws..
What’s needed in the country is “Law Un-makers” or some common sense that when any new law is made you have to get rid of 10 laws on the books.
If we got back to basics in this country we’d be fine.

LOL. I was just guessing what would happen, but makes perfect sense. In Los Angeles, they had the postal workers selling drugs, since they had access to all of the city. Needless to say, that didn’t go over well with the gangs, so they started killing them. But it was solved at the federal level - they upped the penalties for killing a mailman.
Interestingly they don’t usually take laws off of the books. I had a book when I was a kid (Ripley’s Believe It or Not, possibly) that listed a bunch of laws that sounded insane and most of those were old then.
