Happy New Year!
Even if it feels like all we’re doing is rearranging the deck chairs.
Let’s face it, the “roaring twenties” seem to be roaring in all the wrong directions.
So welcome, 2022, the year of the tiger. While the road may be a bit bumpy,
it’s the only road we’ve got, so travel it we shall. We don’t have to like it though, so feel free to protest by not making any resolutions.
If it’s true that we are obliged to welcome the new year with optimism and enthusiasm this is one of those “fake it until you can make it” situations.
So I wish you all a very Happy New Year. When I feel better and muster a bit more energy I might even consider making a couple casual promises to myself.

Happy frickin New Year to all the commies in the world. Especially those in power in the good Ole USA!
Except for the socks, I am able to return my present for a gift card.
Same problem that we all have with our parents when we are younger - what do you get someone that needs little except for more grand kids?
Now I am in those shoes.
50 years ago my Dad used to go nightime surf fishing out on the
south Jersey beaches for striped bass when they were running
(migrating) in the late autumn.
He always said his feet would get freezing cold fishing out
there all night long. So, my little seven year old mind thought
of battery-powered heated socks for him as a Christmas
present. He was astounded that I thought of it. He loved them.
He only used them a few times - because two nine volt batteries
would keep his feet warm for only about an hour or so.
But he loved the idea that I thought of his cold feet when he was fishing.
And when he passed away in 2015 at age 89 I found those battery
powered socks among his things. He had kept them all of those years.
So I kept them also. I just recently moved - and I found those silly
socks again. LOL!
