On this the first day of 2022, if you have a couple of hours and you want to hear from a WW II Veteran who came ashore on the Easy Red Sector of Omaha Beach and fought all the way thru to the Battle of the Bulge, check out this podcast from Jocko Willink and hear from Jake Larson, who is 99 years old and still sharp as a tack describe all the events in his life that led to the title of his book, The Luckiest Man In The World. It's listening to living history, fascinating.
Thanks, for the find == hold for later listening
Happy New Year!
A real man.....of which we are in very short supply of in this country nowadays.

Sounds like a great podcast to enjoy.
Amen! My late uncle was combat engineer, landed first wave at Omaha beach, fought through France, thrown into Hurtgen Forest meat grinder and was sent off line with trench foot and frostbite to the Ardennes, a “quiet” sector where he had about recovered only to get into the Battle of the Bulge. He survived that and fought deep into either Austria or Czechoslovakia.
I’m sure your very proud of him.
Without men like your uncle we’d all be speaking German right now.
