REPUBLICANS POUNCE! WashPost Cries GOP ‘Primed to Pounce on Inflation’ in 2022
NewsBusters ^ | 12/29/2021 | Joseph Vazquez

The Washington Post tried to whip out the generic “Republicans have pounced” cliché in order to spin some of the attention on skyrocketing prices away from President Joe Biden.

The liberal newspaper released a revealing story headlined, “Inflation emerging as top economic challenge in 2022.” Strong consumer demand in addition to ongoing supply chain problems “threaten to prolong sharply rising prices well into 2022, potentially making inflation the premier economic challenge of the new year.” The Post conceded that inflation “defied many economists’ expectations in 2021 by rising at the fastest pace in nearly 40 years,” and that “[e]verything from rent to the price of used cars to groceries” had spiked.

Then The Post tried to make the Biden economy look like a victim of GOP political exploitation: “[T]he White House will be looking at a midterms campaign in which Republicans are primed to pounce on inflation.”

Here is the plan dems have to corrupt the elections this year. This is why they are not at all worried about the low poll numbers. “Prominent Dem Lawyer Predicts Lawsuits
To Remove GOP Members From House Seats
Next Year” https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2021/12/27/prominent-dem-lawyer-predicts-lawsuits-to-remove-gop-members-from-house-seats-next-year-n1544715

Who Pounces More, Democrats or Republicans?, February 13, 2019 (Answer: Democrats)

When Politicians ‘Pounce’
Is it time for news editors to retire this cliché?

Google sez...
"Democrats pounce" - 586,000
"Republicans pounce" - 584,000

That is remarkably bi-partisan!

It’s amazing how insulated the elite are. I thought they’d been exposed on the “Republicans pounce” theme, hence the advent of alternates like “Republicans seize on…” Instead, here they are, to use another trite cliche, “doubling down” on “pouncing.” Or maybe I’m wrong, and the vast flock of sheeple don’t even notice that the uncreative imbeciles in the media all adopt the same phraseology and talking points

Now that is a GREAT pounce! Best pounce I've seen.

On the other hand, when pounces fail...

Right. After McConnell and McCarthy greased the skids for the budget to be blown all to Hell.

Assholes.

I don’t recall any headlines about Democrats “pouncing” on Brett Kavanaugh, or Democrats “pouncing” on PDJT’s supposed Ukraine telephone call, or any of the other innumerable times the MSM-Democrats jumped to make an issue of something that hurt our side.

Apparently, it’s not about how inflation affects the people; it’s about the politics of it and how democrats are probably going to suffer in the election cycles coming up.

The issue is not as important as how democrats and the liberal media expect the consequences to hurt them.

Politics and party first; how the people are affected is secondary or last.

Yeah if actual conservatives would do it I might feel better. Saying the gopE is ready is not encouraging at all.

“defied economists’ expectations”

Translation: economists are so tied to their ideology that they are incapable of seeing the truth and admitting it.

And again we see that when Republicans have a natural political advantage resulting from failure of Democrats, you can always count of the partisan media to then frame the advantage as "Republicans using partisan politics over [name the issue]".

In other words, when Democrats are caught red-handed the media will use their tried and true last resort scheme of "Republicans using unfortunate suffering for partisan advantage."

It is part of their SOP.

The filthy media always frames it as a reaction: “Republicans pounce” and spend paragraphs on it, but never lede with the cause: “Democrats fumble” or do any kind of in depth on that.

I noticed that at my local gas stop, someone had plastered "I did that" xiden stickers next to all the dollar totals on the pumps. A few days later, I noticed that some masked Karen was furiously trying to scratch one off and laughed at her loudly enough for her to stop, glare at me, and get in her car and peel out.

Today I noticed that the stickers were all gone. Shame.

At this point the inflation can’t be fixed as the USA is too far in debt. Bankruptcy is the next stage.

Good thing the demoncraps didn’t ‘pounce’ on the Covid pandemic for political purposes.

Oh wait, Joe was going to fix it if we elected him. Now he’s given up and back to the basement in Delaware with his caretaker(wife) and new puppy.

Rest assured if Trump was running 20% inflation the Dems would’ve had the good manners not to say a word about it.
