"On Thursday, the Lt. Col. that criticized the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal and called for accountability in August was released from the Marine Corps.

Former Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller announced the news in a lengthy Facebook post, recapping the events over the last four months that led up to his discharge.

I was released from the Marine Corps today, Thursday, December 23rd, 2021. I am filled with mixed emotions. I would like to sincerely thank the Marine Corps for forging me into a man," Scheller said. "And from the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank all the Marines who served, led, bled, and suffered alongside me the past 17 years."

The now-former Marine wrote that he received a general discharge under honorable conditions, which is lower than an honorable discharge. ..."

This guy attacked Trump when Trump supporters came to his aid. What was done to him was wrong, but I hope they all pulled their donations.

Yeah.

He appears to be, at least partially, "Woke".

He received what should have been Vindman’s punishment.

He sounds a bit like a wacko. He threw away his retirement pension, and that is tossing something of value to not just him but also his family.

His letter says something about leaking his medical records. It would be useful to know if they called him a wacko, because that’s what he seems to be

This is the only guy held accountable for anything regarding the disastrous withdrawl from Afghanistan/Kabul. Let that sink in. It says to me accountability is gone from our military.

Those people who cheered on his criticism of Brandon and the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan have run away from him as fast as possible. I suspect my tagline will be permanent going forward.

Joe STOLEN strikes again.
Straight from the playbook of Joseph Stalin who purged the Soviet military of their officers and left the Soviet military weak and impotent for when Hitler eventually attacked.

Why?

What would you expect them to do right now?
And how would you know if they are still sending him contributions or not?

He stood up on principal to the criminal, leftist and murderous democrat taliban party who effectively murdered 11 marines, one soldier, and one Navy corpsman. He deserves congratulations regardless of his other, potentially woke viewpoints.

Kind of an insult to the military heros who gave their lives and limbs fighting for the liberty and freedom of speech for American citizens!

I think he did ALL this as prep for running for office (likely US Congresscritter) in 2022. We’ll know fo sure in a few months.

I think we should give this guy some leeway. We don’t know what went on between his comments and now being released from the Marines. I am sure that there was so much pressure put on this man that many of us most likely would have buckled.

Scheller wrote that he was “slandered as homicidal/suicidal by the USMC’s public affairs team,” “was imprisoned under the false pretense of ‘flight risk,’” “called a narcissist in my letter of reprimand,” and lost his retirement.

Agree. There’s some chatter that he may run for Congress. Wouldn’t it be great to see him grill General Milley as a member of the House Armed Services Committee or some such? Would be poetic Justice for sure 😂 ….

I thought his initial statement was courageous. But he should have shut his yapper after that, and I say that as a combat vet Marine officer myself. Had one of his troops made repeated negative public statements about him, he rightly would not have tolerated it. There is a line between asking for accountability, and subverting the chain of command, And his repeated statements crossed it.
