Baldwin was holding a Colt .45 revolver. Call it a prop gun. Call it a replica. Makes no difference. It was a real powerful firearm capable of firing real bullets. Baldwin pointed it at a person standing about 2 feet away from him.
This sequence of events all occurred almost simultaneously: He fired the weapon, felt the kickback, heard the loud report, and saw the person in front of him fall.
Yet Baldwin said he didn't pull the trigger and he thought Halyna fainted. This not possible. The kickback told him he had fired the gun. The loud bang told him a live round was fired. He must have immediately seen blood from Halyna's wound and must also have seen the person standing behind her react to his wound. Yet Baldwin didn't check on them. He left the building and has been looking for ways to cover his ass ever since.
45 Long Colt is powerful enough that if you aren’t prepared and holding the weapon properly it’s likely to hurt you pretty good. His claims don’t make any sense.
I just saw a YouTube video today where it was disclosed that the armorer told Baldwin that the hammer on that gun was not to be pulled back. Not only did he SKIP checking the weapon when it was handed to him, the armorer was not present and he ignored her order not to cock that particular weapon.
He knew immediately what happened to his victims the minute he fired that gun. No room for doubt. He is a disgusting, evil human being.
