Doctor here.

Virus almost always, ALWAYS mutate to infect more people. They do this by becoming less severe, less deadly so their victims will still spend more time in public spreading that virus.

Think about it.

Time for Omicron parties!

I give it another weak or so to know definitively—it was stated two weeks from initial discovery on 30 November to assess. I read S. African reports that it was actually weaker than Delta; I personally don’t think it started in SA or Botswana, but came in perhaps from Europe and the SA medical community jumped on it and reported ASAP, good for them. Then, PM Johnson announces a few hours ago the first Omicron=variant death in the UK. So will keep watching, who knows.

They very likely would have lived if they had gotten vaxxed and wore masks, and had urged others from their public position to do so. Now they are dead. Dead as a doornob.

J and J is blocked from administration here in Japan over concerns about its effectiveness and some side effects. Same with Astra Zeneca.

I see that Japan is also now requiring a warning on Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for heart problems and other side effects.

Japan also never approved the use of ivermectin for use against COVID-19. The doctor who suggested in August it might be an option - if further research found it to be effective - was chair of the Tokyo Medical Association (TMA), which is not a governmental agency and has no authority to make such a decree. Nor is ivermectin listed as an approved treatment by the Japanese government. I know of NO doctors here prescribing it. Absolutely none whatsoever. But I do now there were some bogus "news sites" back in the states, making some wild claims--since discredited.

Thank you for making that point. Little did that TMA Chair know how his comments would be misused and be represented as his speaking for the government of Japan.

Hack web sites like “The Daily Expose” were prime abusers of twisting Haruo‘s comments.

I think the results so far show that it is more highly transmissible but less deadly, i.e.

Correct. MHW issued the warning. Ever see the warnings on an informational insert in a box of pharmas as to what might happen to people? Not much different.

Having said that, the second paragraph is the one in that Japanese short medical advisory recently that a lot of FR people cringe when I post it. ;-)

I should also note that MHW gave the statistics of possibility of heart inflammation problems gamed out to various demographics.

It says that as of November 14, out of every one million males in Japan who had the Moderna vaccine, such side effects were reported in 81.79 males aged 10 to 19 and 48.76 males in their 20s. The figures were 15.66 out of a million patients and 13.32 out of a million patient respectively for those who had the Pfizer vaccine.

The reference people want to avoid was "despite these findings, the use of the vaccines has a benefit that far overshadows the risk of usage, so we recommend continued use in Japan, and exeleration of booster shots as well."

It was so much bullshit, it was easily blown out of the water by us who actually live here and know what is going on. Sheesh. What a waste of time.

Interesting. Do the Japanese use aspiration when injecting the vaccine to ensure it doesn’t go into a blood vessel?

Yeah the vaccines are great with no known side effects. No increase risk of blood clots, strokes, bel palsy, miscarriages or anything else that is bad. Just glad time was taken to get it right even though there were no existing therapeutics to try. Bah humbug to any possibilty of long term side effects.

"I personally believe they should have put as much energy into early detection (at home test kits) and therapeutics,, especially monoclonal antibodies which seem to be the best therapeutic if given early."

Two Sundays ago I tested positive here at home using the Abbot Labs kit. Within 6 hours I had my monoclonal antibody treatments (it's easily available, 8-to-5, 7 days a week here in Florida).

The result was that I missed two days of work with a "mild flu", and had an additional two days of "cloudy thinking".

Every night that I felt like I was going to bed sick I took my Ivermectin (like a good horse), and every day I woke up feeling greatly improved.

The secret to beating this bug is to hit it hard and fast. Hours count.
