Breitbart reported today that China has warned the world Thursday any nations that sought to boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics would “pay the price” for such intransigence.
Washington announced its boycott earlier in the week, saying it was not be sending any diplomats to the event prompted by widespread rights abuses by China and the well documented genocide against the Muslim Uyghur minority in Xinjiang.
Australia, Britain and Canada followed suit followed suit some 48-hours later, however all stopped short of withholding athletes, as Breitbart News reported.

True that.....I don’t recall any nation threatening other nations for not attending.....but then this is exactly how China operates. They just often hide it beneath cloaks of deception and manipulation.....they’ve always operated this way.
China spent close to 4 billion dollars on the Winter Olympics. If no one showed up someone would lose “face”.
