Wait! Was that an NRA spokesman on Morning Joe today, making the case for the Second Amendment?
Nope, turns out it was actually David Ignatius. But the hyper-establishment Washington Post columnist/editor and Morning Joe foreign-policy maven unwittingly made a strong case for the right to keep and bear arms!
"He's going to face a guerrilla warfare, extended partisan warfare in Ukraine. There -- I counted 400,000 people who've received some kind of militia training. There are a million guns floating around Ukraine. I mean, it's a place where it’d be hard to subdue the population."

Imagine how embarrassed this liberal columnist will be when he realizes he just made a good argument for the 2nd Amendment!
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Wow! Impressive!
West Virginia has only about twice that inventory!

Rooting for the Russians Joe?
Well, that puts a whole new spin on observing the festivities over there.
This is actually Taiwan’s best possible defense against China.
but Taiwan would rather fall to China, than let their population be armed.
I am yet to see a single gun turned against the Russians in Crimea. In Donbas, they turned their guns against the government.
My take—All this Big Bad Russian Hitler going to invade is to spook the USA into sending aide and troops to the Ukraine. Then a fast track NATO Membership. (10% will go to the “Big Guy”) Once US Troops are there—Ukraine will be invincible from any Russian moves and they can retake and loot the lands taken by Russia. Its really a brilliant plan. Russia’s hands are tied and they can be used as a scapegoat for any failure—heck it worked like a charm to get rid of Trump didn’t it? The media will be all in on a Wag-The-Dog war and no one will talk about the New People’s Republic of the Rich over the Poor.
Putin is playing games with Biden and NATO. He doesn’t want a NATO country on his border and is making a point. It doesn’t look like NATO is interested in including Ukraine in their membership so it will all quiet down in a while. Then it will be time for the US to pull out of NATO.
When it tipped over, so many guns spilled out that the level of the lake rose. Fortunately it was a very deep lake.
The private Ukes are indeed NOT unarmed. It’s worth noting, however, with WestVA doing its part, that there are more privately owned firearms in the US than guns of any sort in all the other countries, put together, including their militaries, in the rest of the world. With only a million here, and a million there, there’s just no way they can all together, match US. Our 300 million plus rules.-——semper fi

Well, the Russian airborne troops “lost” in Ukraine were certainly armed. And then there are the armed Russian guys form Moscow that Putin handed out the medals to for their murder. You do remember that stuff, right? And I suppose the Ukrainian “farmers and miners” marched into Russia to attack Ukraine from there? Yeah, no. If the Putinist cause was just there would be no need for these lies.
This is hilarious because ruling out troops puts Biden even behind Obama. Obama DID send U. S. troops to Ukraine. 173rd Airborne Brigade from their base in Italy. They did some training for a while in Ukraine with local troops.
I have no way to validate this, but a guy at another company that we do business with has family in Taiwan (or Formosa as he prefers to call it), who says that there’s an active discussion about how to a) get a significant civilian reserve trained and b) equipped.
The powers that be certainly don’t want people taking rifles home with them, but the idea of municipal armories, civilian training courses etc. is apparently being discussed at some level, at least among some segments of society. I’ve been trying to find anything in the media about this, and come up bupkis, but I’ve never known this guy to lie before.
I know Ukrainians here in L.A. For years they keep bragging that citizens ARE the police over there. Even women have guns. The populations know they HAVE THE OIL and the russkies’ will one day take it. Even children are trained for that reality..
When I lived in the Ukraine (Kiev) for a couple of months in 2016, there was a gun store on the first floor right below our apartment (across the street from Saint Nicolas Cathedral). When you walked into it, it was like walking into a gun store in Texas or Wyoming. It was very well stocked. It was awesome and almost unbelievable.
Sorry if I misunderstood something.
“When I lived in the Ukraine”
Is that like living in ‘the’ America?
