VIDEO: Four years ago, we explained what Hamas, the terrorist organization that has controlled Gaza since 2006, had been up to since their rise to power. Now, we're revisiting the subject... and not much has changed.
Hamas uses its power to benefit the people of Gaza, right? Wrong.
Instead of using its power to benefit the people of Gaza, Hamas spends the majority of its resources on terrorist activities.
During Operation Guardian of the Walls (May 10–21, 2021), Hamas fired over 4,300 rockets at Israel. Hamas' rocket launch sites, 'Metro' terror tunnel network, and other terror infrastructure cost millions of dollars to build––money which Hamas could have invested in bettering the lives of Gazan civilians.
Not being anti Jewish or pro Hamas here but this could be said in part of every country that has a military. If countries didn’t spend so much on bombs and bullets that money COULD be used to make peoples lives better.
1/3 of the people who voted once for Hamas are now dead (old age) or no longer in Palestinian territories (emigrated). Another 1/3 of the people of the Palestinian territories were born after the last elections with open slates in 2006. The wars the Hamas and PLO engaged in were losses, epic great losses since 1967.
There really has been no other choice than the PLO and Hamas for 3 decades at this point, the people of Palestine need to make a change, but without free elections the hope is all of Israel wakes up and chooses to move to south florida is the more likely answer.
Monies are given to Hamas ostensibly for infrastructure repair and social welfare use in the areas Hamas controls. The money is mostly misdirected to fund terrorism and line the pockets of Hamas leaders. That is not like a line item of a legitimate government for military expenses.
I will forgive you your statement. You are trying to be “fair”, and I am telling you facts:
Take Israel which spends ALOT of its budget on defense.
Military expenditure (% of GDP) in Israel was 4.35 as of 2018.

Regarding Hamas - it is difficult to say since there are no official number. The amount spent is assumed to be 20%, but that is not telling the real story since another 30% is said to go into politician pockets, where the top tire of their “leadership” are billionaires
