In a Friday press release by the Kyodo News Service, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare warned of myocarditis and pericarditis issues related to the mRNA COVID vaccines.

The Kyodo News Service is the Japanese equivalent of the AP or Reuters. The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is the Japanese equivalent of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where the CDC is located. The Microsoft Translate version of the entire Japanese press release follows:

Here is Japan we have so FEW hospitalizations due to COVID, it is standing at 1.2% hospitalization in Tokyo, but of that close to 90% of the serious patients are UNVACCINATED. We have near 80% total vaccination now (Pfizer/Moderna). No, horse paste is NOT authorized here by MHW for use. Defy anyone to tell or show otherwise.

Overstatement. Complete non-issue here in Japan as the Conservative Ruling Coalition LDP party just pushed to accelerate booster shots nationwide from the 8 month lag they had in place, to 6 months, due to Omicron. So if they are scared of the vaccines, why on earth would they accelerate the third jabs? This is just nonsense, the author of that article does not even read Japanese he had to rely on Microsoft auto translation and glossed over the most important part of the article, that MHW continues to approve though they have sent the advisory for physicians to observe.
