Oregon is one of just six states that still have an indoor mask mandate, and now the democrat stronghold is working to make that rule stick around permanently.

On Thursday, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) confirmed that its rules advisory committee “met to begin the process of drafting a permanent set of rules for the state’s indoor mask mandate requirement.”

Call me optimistic or naive, but it strikes me that...

"...a permanent set of rules for the state’s indoor mask mandate requirement"

...is not the same as a...

"...a rule to wear masks permanently."

"Permanent set of rules" could be a permanent guidebook on how to handle masking in future pandemics. It COULD be, you know.

“stakeholders” - that’s the new codeword for communists.

The article itself is a bit hyperbolic as the verbiage just says the mask mandate remains while covid levels are above a certain percentage and the rule automatically terminates once the pandemic is considered “over”.

I don’t like it - but it’s not an out-of-line rule - PER SE - especially compared to vaxx mandates and scrapping the Nuremburg code.

Yeah, that’ll work. Let’s follow the “Fauci Science”.
You know, the science where 2+2=6 (for large values of 2) and it rains perpetual motion machines.

Remember all those emergency repressive measures after 9-11?

We went back to "normal" by having a new generation grow up who never knew anything different. "Normal" just means what you're used to especially if you grew up with it.

The title is misleading because all of it wasn’t posted, neither did the short excerpt explain it, even a little bit.

Editing to sensationalism by o.p.

I keep telling everyone, liberals LOVE the masks. It is their amulet which they fully believe shows their “compassion” for others. It is an idol to themselves.

Yep, I went to the source:
The current indoor mask mandate is a temporary rule and is set to expire in February, so Oregon health leaders wants to be able to switch to a permanent rule before then. The permanent rule can still be ended once the COVID-19 pandemic recedes to a safe level, but it can remain in place indefinitely in the meantime and won’t expire prematurely while case numbers are still dangerously high.
It's Hoft Hysteria yet again.

Why do normal people continue to live in these Blue State hellholes?

Speaking strictly for myself I was born and raised in California. My job and family are here. I see no reason to abandon my home simply because the inmates are running the asylum. If I am the last reasonable Californian standing, so be it.
