The only conclusion left to make is while those actions may have been ill-advised they were not illegal.

When the enemy is burning your town to the ground, it is ill-advised to try to stop them.

Idiotic. Of course he was. He was there protecting his community with a scrub brush, a fire extinguisher, and a rifle when the rioter attacked him. He comported himself well in court also.

he did those things when the “men” of that community let the savages run wild as they pleased.

Ignore the putting out fires, standing up to the mob and doing what very few have the guts to do. Oh, and the great training and practice that enabled him to successfully retain and use his weapon. Other than that, nothing special.

Rittenhouse was a smooth operator of a seventeen year old. He kept his cool when he could have panicked and mowed down the whole murderous crowd.

Andy says rittenhouse is not a hero.

That’s his opinion, I disagree.

Rittenhouse was doing his civic duty.

In our world now that makes him a hero just like the firefighters, policeman who go the extra mile

Kyle went to the riots to render aid to the injured and protect his home town. Yes, Kenosha was his town.

The riots ended after the 8th bullet left the barrel of his gun. He still had 22 rounds left.

The cops were too chicken to end the rioting. Kyle did it in less than a minute.

Yes, he was a hero. Still is.

“The only conclusion left to make is while those actions may have been ill-advised they were not illegal. Let him without sin cast the first stone.”

What was the “ill-advised part? The scrubbing off of communist graffiti? The extinguishing of a dumpster fire being pushed towards a gas station? Fleeing a violent mob? Defending his life? Running immediately to turn himself into a cop?

Ill advised indeed.

I thought Kyle had heroic trigger control under extreme stress.

"The question put to the jury was essentially “was Kyle Rittenhouse reasonably in fear for his life each time he pulled the trigger?”

There is more to the legality of self-defense than reasonably being in fear for your life.

While Kyle may not be a hero, his control is certainly praise-worthy. He pointed his rifle and shot only at the people that were threats when they threatened him. In the middle of that ongoing experience, it was impressive control. Not many people would have pulled it off.

Kyle Rittenhouse defended his life. End of story.

No. He went to a riot to protect the property of a neighbor. With a friend by his side, he did that.

His life was threatened but he ignored that and went alone to put out a fire at a church. He put it out.

He continued on alone and offered first aid help to anyone who needed it. He treated several people and most were rioters.

His life was threatened again but he brushed that aside and tried to put out a fire in a burning dumpster being used to set a gas station on fire.

Seems heroic to me but, whether it is or isn't, only an ignoramus would say he "defended his life. End of story." The author is a POS.

Kyle Rittenhouse Is A Hero...

He’s shown us Americans can stand up to professional ‘rent a thug’ rioters and come out the other side.

Good for Rittehouse.
