A new study touts the power of natural immunity to fight the worst effects of the coronavirus.

The researchers, reported their results last week in the New England Journal of Medicine, examined 353,326 COVID-19 patients in the Arabian Peninsula nation of Qatar infected anywhere between Feb. 28, 2020, and April 28, 2021.

The research EXCLUDED about 87,500 people who were vaccinated over the time span of the study.

Out of the rest of the group studied, only 1,304 contracted COVID-19 again, with none requiring intensive care treatment for the disease, formally known as SARS-CoV-2.

“In earlier studies, we assessed the efficacy of previous natural infection as protection against reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 as being 85% or greater,” the researchers, wrote.

“Accordingly, for a person who has already had a primary infection, the risk of having a severe reinfection is only approximately 1 percent of the risk of a previously uninfected person having a severe primary infection.”

We live in a strange world where people who don’t take a medicine for a virus because they already have natural immunity and can’t transmit to other people, are being blamed for not taking a medicine that doesn’t stop those who take it from transmitting the virus to other people. — James Melville (@JamesMelville) November 28, 2021

Natural immunity works. Not perfectly, but it works. Better than the vaccines work.

Reinfection from Covid-19 is rare, severe disease is even rarer, a study of people in Qatar findshttps://t.co/t9vD6h9O8t — Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) November 25, 2021

The study noted that once-infected individuals have “90 percent lower odds of resulting in hospitalization or death than primary infections.”

“Four reinfections were severe enough to lead to acute care hospitalization. None led to hospitalization in an ICU, and none ended in death,” the study reported.

Covidians will dismiss this as a bad sample. 300K or so, not enough to make a determination. And it’s only their say-so that they’re unvaxed, maybe they’re fibbing. Arabian peninsula, that’s some of the most inbred folk on earth, what do they know? Or this study is fake like the moon landing.

Using Qatar as a ‘base’ of data presents a problem. You have local citizens, and you have guest workers. You could present evidence that guest workers showed vaccination slips, but they were fraudulent in nature.

Huge discovery? Maybe to Anthony “I represent Science” Fauci but not to my grandparents or just about anyone else.

Crap proof-reading. The virus is SARS-CoV-2. The disease it causes is labeled COVID-19.

Wow, fraudulent vaccine paperwork to overcome a sample of 350,000... That is a stretch, to put it mildly. Maybe, you were joking.

No one said the 350k were all Qatar people, or 50-percent guest workers....so I have no idea about ‘trust’. I can show in various countries that vaccination rate is 5-to-10 percent. Did the Qatar guest-worker crowd all get vax’ed-up prior to arrive or arrange for some ‘stamp’? It would help this case to say only Qatar citizens were in the 350k group.
