Brooks might have been fleeing a crime by crashing through barricades and entering the parade.
CBS News reports that a law enforcement official who has knowledge of the case says the suspect drove into Waukesha’s Christmas Parade. was fleeing another scene – possibly a knife fight – when he ran into & over some people.

Well, we agree that this thing — not the event, but this feral creature — must be eradicated for the benefit of all involved.
In Wisconsin? Not a chance. Just look at the lengths you have to go to in order to learn anything about the identity of the suspect - no major media will touch it. Likewise - was it a stolen vehicle? I think the strong inference is yes - but could the media wake up and do some work here?
They’re already making excuses for him like, “his gas pedal jammed”, “he’s insane”, “fleeing from someone”.
