TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — The biggest U.S.-based drugmaker will change leaders in January when Pfizer Chief Operating Officer Albert Bourla replaces CEO Ian Read, who has led the company for nearly eight years.
Pfizer Inc. said Monday that Read will become executive chairman of Pfizer's board of directors.
The move comes after Pfizer's board in March gave Read an $8 million bonus contingent on boosting Pfizer's stock price and staying on for up to a year. That allowed Read time to groom Bourla, who had been appointed last January to the newly created chief operating officer post.

Read, who started working at Pfizer in 1978 as an auditor, spent much of his tenure as CEO trying to pull off mega-acquisitions, the strategy that had enabled Pfizer to leapfrog to the top among U.S. drugmakers. But Read failed on deals to acquire first Allergan and then AstraZeneca, primarily to be able to move Pfizer's headquarters — just on paper — to lower-tax countries in Europe.
The New York company said in July that it was again reshaping its business, this time into three units: Innovative Medicines; Established Medicines, which handles older drugs that have lost protection; and Consumer Healthcare. It said Innovative Medicines will bring in most of the company's revenue and has strong growth potential, due partially to an aging population that will create growing demand for new medicines.
A couple of weeks after announcing the business reorganization, Pfizer reported a second-quarter profit that surged 26 percent in a performance that beat Wall Street expectations.
But Pfizer drew the ire of President Donald Trump in early July when it announced price hikes for about 40 of its drugs — shortly after Trump promised without any grounds that drug companies would be announcing “massive” voluntary price cuts by mid-June. Those cuts never came and most drugmakers have continued to hike prices, but Trump publicly shamed Pfizer on Twitter for its increases, leading the company to reverse them, but only until January at the latest.
None of those Chinese, bird, pig, grouse or pigeon flu shots for our family, and certainly not the Covid 1, 2, 3 shot gimmick nor the dopey masks.

Pfizer’s modus operandi for the last decade has been two fold many more fold actually.
1.) acquire major old line companies and their profitable patented product lines. Example: Upjohn, Wyeth, Parke-Davis,
and numerous others.
Objective: acquire the product lines and the... INCOME.
And PFIRE the existing company research people, the management, and the sales and marketing. Get the Cash.
2.) During the run up to obamacare— the CEO was a jerk named Kindler (who visited the obama WH over 30 times to get the obama-care passed... deemed as passed and a MANDATE that was somehow NOT a tax. Just like this MANDATE is not in any WAY Constitutional to drive the SALE of a Product.
Kindler’s List was the list of acquired people from other companies who were to be... PFIRED.
3.) Pfizer’s entire marketing strategy (also that of other remaining major cos.) is to PARTNER with the FED GOV. Make the FEDGOV their marketing partner (easing easy early rapid approval for “new” meds— the did not even invent). GOAL: to be the FORMULARY OF CHOICE for the Fedgov obamacare paid socialist healthcare— Sole Source for most if not all categories of pharmaceutical therapies and medications. Single Source— to CONTROL the prices and the drive up their margins— using TAXPAYER money.
Tres European of them. They are soulless self righteous a@@holes and they haven’t INVENTED a damn thing. Co-Market with them and run the risk of losing one’s company. It happened a lot and is happening now.

Basically because the covid semi-vaXXes target only a single protein (spike) instead of the whole antigen. The whole antigen approach (common with about any other vaccine) was not used because lab animals died when an experimental whole-antigen coronavirus vaccine was tested on them.

No non sterilizing vaccine will end any pandemic. If the vaccine does not keep you from catching and spreading the #fauciflu then a virus as contagious as this will eventually spread through pretty much the entire population, At that point herd immunity may set in assuming the virus does not continue to mutate and the disease will enter a low level endemic phase that will be more or less permanent. That is virology 101.
