This is merely a setback to ‘the darkness’. Will this setback be carried through into the mid-terms and next election, and ‘the darkness’ driven further back? Perhaps. ‘The darkness’ will continue its advance until Jesus returns.
I don’t see our society (the former ‘Christendom’) drawing closer to Jesus. In fact, many fewer are attending church. Church ‘by internet’ MIGHT be OK once in a while, if you must miss Church, but FELLOWSHIP is key to the Christian faith.
I believe that what happened yesterday, was merely a ‘breather’, perhaps even designed to lull us into a sense of false security, before another push.
Do I sound negative? Yes! Without Jesus, we, conservatives CANNOT defeat ‘the darkness’. Witness Jude 9 (NIV): ‘But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”’ Without Jesus, we have nothing to battle satan, or even stand against satan.
