Had a long Power Outage starting yesterday through today in Seattle.
Went to a Diner in West Seattle this evening. About 10 people seated inside but most every table empty.
Host came to seat us: “Sir, need to see your vaccine card or test showing negative result. “
Me: WTH?
Host told me it just started today, if they didn’t do it, HUGE FINES.
I started walking out, Host stopped me: “I understand, I really do. Lost 12 customers already. You can order pickup if you like.”
It’s comforting to know pickup is available.
And one more thing:
Strong warnings of fines and imprisonment for carrying fake vaccine cards.
It’s here, people.
The appropriate response to that comment is:
"I'm sorry this is happening to you, and I did my best to support local businesses during the lockdowns last year. However, I'm going to get my food from grocery stores from now on."We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government.""If restaurants like yours suffer, then it's now on all of you to tell the governor to stop this craziness."

I really never saw this coming, “Achtung. Your papers please!” I have anticipated much of the current and coming totalitarian opression, but I missed this one. And now it is here.
