I watched Steve Bannon’s War Room about this story, I go over to the Revolver Site, read the article, post the URL here about 5 hours ago, then I go back over there and post about Free Republic and post a thread by someone named Revelation Dave being Ray Epps and begging for money for the Oath Keepers about 4 hours ago and use my real name.....

In my view all comments in your post are quite true. But the vast majority of people who attended the rally were there to show their support for the President, not to tear up the Capitol or to attack anyone. The Smithsonian Mall is, after all, a PUBLIC SPACE, and attending a rally there is NOT a crime!

Technically true.
But being part of a crowd which has some bad actors is a damned good way to make your subsequent life miserable.
Any crowd not under the control of people you trust is a dumb thing to be part of. Just because you don’t know there is some violent A-hole on the other side of it braking windows or setting things on fire (and even if it is only a few such) is not an excuse that seems to hold up well in a court of law (unless you are an ‘antifa’ in Seattle or Portland).
I know good Christian people who attended a peaceful protest over a police shooting who were fortunately able to bail before the wannabee anarchists in black tried to turn it into a riot. And the only reason it didn’t is that other churches had it under control and the jerks from Berkeley were confronted by a couple of big Mexican pastors who kept close tabs on them,
Any crowd without good leadership is little more than a ‘anarchist’ punk throwing rocks at police or windows away from being a riot to be used by the other side.
Just my observation.
At the very least, don’t we the American people, deserve to know why Ray Epps was not charged? How hard can it possibly be to find that out?

And that’s a dumb argument because everyone in a public crowd of thousands of people cannot possibly be “under the control” of anybody, and if that was a prerequisite for expressing one’s first amendment rights in the public square there would be no public rallies!
