That seems like a pretty short window for Oswald to fire a shot, figure out the scope was off, and transition to irons and get a hit.
It’s all so odd. GHWB in Dallas that day, Nixon flew out of Dallas before the assassination, and learned of it when he landed in New York, Ford sat on the Warren Commission and later became President without benefit of election....GHWB at the White House as RNC Chairman when Nixon departs and Ford is sworn in.
The final shot lines up with the agent riding in the car behind JFK, and the bullet wound is consistent with a shot fired from the AR15 the agent picked up (according to the firearms specialist who did the research).
I can possibly see the wound to the front of JFK ‘s throat being an exit wound from a piece of a 5.56mm round. The grassy knoll is still puzzling. His death seems to be the confluence of two simultaneous assassination attempts and a freak accident, with the possibility of government complicity in one or both attempts, and then a cover-up of the accidental shot.
Donahue (the guy who researched it) contended that Oswald was the only person shooting at the president (and that the agent’s shot was accidental).
IOW…….
It’s too incriminating for the Deep State and would be a career killer for several high profile democrats, and likely republicans as well.
A lot of people on-scene thought that a shot came from the grassy knoll. I suppose that could have been used by TPTB to muddy the water and confuse the evidence to the point that the accidental shooting could be concealed
What indeed? Someone still alive was involved apparently.
I have a book packed away somewhere called “Mortal Error.”
The theme of the book is that after the first shot by Oswald, the presidential limo sped up when the driver hit the gas.
The SS agent was standing up, lost his balance, and accidentally shot the president in the head.
So claims the book.....
Yep - that’s the book by the same guy (and a writer).
I don’t have that book. Only the article that was posted here on FR some time ago. It was very convincing.
Imagine, if a Secret Service agent accidentally did shoot the president, as the theory goes, that piece of information would’ve been very embarrassing for the country.
Accepting that premise, the powers-that-be are now covering up that there was a cover-up back then. I would think that they covered up more than just an accidental shooting. It was a pretty piss-poor performance by the Secret Service all the way around, and then for the Dallas PD to fail in stopping the lynching of Oswald. Seems like there’s more at stake than embarrassment for the SS.
That was a LONG article, but had some fascinating i sights.
In July 2007, Scott Horton, an American attorney known for his work in human rights law and the law of armed conflict, had an article published in Harper's Magazine claiming that Prescott Bush was involved in the 1934 Business Plot, a failed plan by some of America's wealthy to trick Retired Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler into helping them overthrow President Franklin D. Roosevelt.[24][25]
I agree - it is long, but I was glad I read it, too. Someone else posted it once.
Well, a Palestinian killed his brother, RFK. There have been endless conspiracy theories about JFK, so heres another one, what if the Russia thing was a smokescreen, and there is a link to one of the Russian proxy war places that got hushed up?
Right before the gap in the Nixon tapes he talks about how the break in might bring up “the whole Cuban thing.” I always wondered if he might have been referring to the rumored Cubans used in the assassination that had been left high and dry during the invasion when Kennedy backed out at the last minute.
Years after I had made that connection, Halderman(?) wrote that is what he thought Nixon was referring to.
Nixon always had the USA’s reputation in mind. Nixon tried to suppress the “Pentagon Papers” even though he could have used them to show how inept Johnson was. Same goes with LBJ perhaps using the Cubans to kill Kennedy - Nixon didn’t want anything like that to tarnish the USA’s image.
Interesting, though it then makes one wonder if it was a Cuban, was it Rafael Cruz as he had been photographed with Lee Harvey Oswald. And if that was truly the case would they actually keep that under wraps after all this time? Because outside of some low level CIA operatives no else from that era is likely still alive.
Early on following the JFK assassination, syndicated columnist Dorothy Killgallen was a lone voice supporting the conspiracy angle. She also published portions of the Warren Report prior to it’s official release. A lot of feathers were ruffled and she died mysteriously. Several books on this subject. Interesting reading for sure!
I never heard of Dorothy Kilgallen before, which is sad... Her death, allegedly from overdose after investigating and writing about the JFK assassination, does sound very suspicious.
