Democrats’ ‘reconciliation bill’ is anything but

The Democrats’ $3.5 trillion infrastructure/reconciliation/”Build Back Better” bill is a total sham, a hoax, and yet another attempt to reward fat cat Democrat donors while sticking it to citizens who deviate from the party line.

The bill would punish grieving families by dramatically increasing the death tax, to the tune (“Taps?”) of $54 billion.

Tax the rich? The bill would authorize local banks to report all transactions of $600 or more, including those from third-party applications like PayPal or Venmo. 600 bucks! Why?

Tax the rich? The bill would give a cool $200 million to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s favorite park/golf course, right behind her house in San Francisco. (Gotta take care of the Old Gal by sending some cash to her home district if you want to extract more favors from her later, right?)

Tax the rich? According to the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation, the bill proposes $2.1 trillion in tax increases, $1.1 trillion of which would be gleaned from families and small businesses. The bill would even increase taxes on some earning under $100,000 annually. Though Democrats incessantly tout their supposed desire to make wealthy individuals and corporations alike “pay their fair share,” the JCT says that two-thirds of the bill’s tax burden would fall on low and middle-income earners.

Wow Kaslin, you’re busy this morning. So, what are we going to do about all of this? Nothing?

Two weeks ago I wrote to my two GOP US Senators. I asked them to tell me what they are doing to stop the illegal immigration and human trafficking at the US-Mexican border. They both responded in writing. To summarize their responses - thank you for writing, effectively they agree that they don’t like what Xiden is (not) doing at the border and they are against illegal immigration.

Evidently they are not going to do anything about it, not even use their piece of the bully pulpit.

That’s one issue. I am trying to figure out what my next step is going to be. However, a Viet Nam vet told me back in 1977 that things only get done in this country when a major catastrophe occurs, and then the fix eventually makes things worse. So maybe what we are going to do is just wait around and do nothing til catastrophe hits?

It appears that way. Whoever tries gets put in prison right away. Seems to me they’ve already taken over. The Republicans are all corrupt. I can’t see a fix. You?

No easy fix in sight. It is going to take millions of small things added together to make a wave to change and some outside fore of devastation to the people destroying our country. And the laws of economics and nature shall eventually come into play. Right now the 2nd law of thermodynamics seems to be more apparent - everything is moving from order to disorder as our institutions are breaking down, and quite rapidly.

The traditional moral and cultural fiber that we had in the past no longer has a critical mass in the public square (which is now digital) to recognize the catastrophe and take action to avoid it. I hate to be so bleak.
