It's been coming for some time and now it's here. The United States of America has become Germany 1933. January 6 was the democrats' Reichstag fire and everything is being woven around it.
Before long, Hitler claimed more power. The fire in the Reichstag, the parliament building, was a key moment in this development. On 27 February 1933, guards noticed the flames blazing through the roof. They overpowered the suspected arsonist, a Dutch communist named Marinus van der Lubbe. He was executed after a show trial in 1934. Evidence of any accomplices was never found.Sound familiar? It ought to. Conservatives are the "communists" in the above story. The DOJ and FBI are being weaponized against political opposition. Things are crazy. A Jan 6 protester who was entirely non-violent was sentenced to 45 days in jail by an Obama appointed judge despite prosecutors seeking no jail time. A decorated Navy Lt. Commander, Thomas Caldwell, spent 49 days in solitary confinement despite not even entering the Capitol. He was arrested courtesy of a SWAT team and the Feds spread lie after lie about him.The Nazi leadership was quick to arrive at the scene. An eyewitness said that upon seeing the fire, Göring called out: ‘This is the beginning of the Communist revolt, they will start their attack now! Not a moment must be lost!' Before he could go on, Hitler shouted: 'There will be no mercy now. Anyone who stands in our way will be cut down.’
The next morning, President Von Hindenburg promulgated the Reichstag Fire Decree. It formed the basis for the dictatorship. The civil rights of the German people were curtailed. Freedom of expression was no longer a matter of course and the police could arbitrarily search houses and arrest people. The political opponents of the Nazis were essentially outlawed.
He was released in March when the Feds couldn't find any evidence he entered the Capitol or that he was a member of anything. 49 days in solitary without any evidence. Thomas Caldwell, who authorities believe holds a leadership role in the extremist group, worked as a section chief for the FBI from 2009 to 2010 after retiring from the Navy, his lawyer, Thomas Plofchan, wrote in a motion urging the judge to release him from jail while he awaits trial.
The defense said Caldwell, who has denied being part of the Oath Keepers, has held a top-secret security clearance since 1979, which required multiple special background investigations, according to Plofchan. Caldwell also ran a consulting firm that did classified work for the U.S. government, the lawyer said.
The FBI is turning a blind eye to US Senators being stalked.

It's the same illegal alien who was stalking and video recording Sinema in a restroom. Biden said it's "all part of the process." I doubt the same would be said were a conservative to harass Jill Biden.
But now even parents are being targeted by the DOJ. For a few years now parents have been protesting CRT infecting public schools. This hasn't been a problem until Biden became Fuhrer. The protests are increasing and the light is showing just how arrogant and smug school boards have become. So much so that they want to shut down all those who dare question their actions.

If nothing else it will be a great conversation starter.

Dang, well stated. That is exactly 2hat it was. Been saying for awhile now that the left have waged a hostile takever of this country, consequences be damned. They too, off the gloves, and no longer even bother trying to hide their disdain and contempt for the people of this country any lonber. the writer puts it very well, this was their Reichstag for sure
I have been amazed for over 6 years the dripping hipocracy of people from the left. Not just radical leftists in the media or politics, but the the duplicity of people I used to think were intelligent and moderate turning a blind eye to “their side” doing all of the things they accused Trump of (WHO NEVER ACTUALLY DID ANY OF IT).
They said Trump was a racist, but he did so much more for the black community than obama ever did. I don’t want to sound like hannity running down the list, it’s all out there but the left doesn’t give a ****.
They said Trump was a fascist, but they trample people’s rights constantly. Almost always, they try to use boogieman republicans as an excuse to do it. The media is fully complicit.
They throw generals in isolation for gotcha questions at informal interviews.
They shut down an entire economy for a glorified flu virus with similar mortality rates. Then they practically force a rushed chemistry experiment into the arms of the entire populace.
They rig elections, and the censor anyone who speaks of it, and they say it didn’t happen but every politician, journalist, judge, court, or state official refuses to even open the books on the evidence.
They burn down cities, and not only give them a pass in the media, and a pass out of jail, but they white wash the whole thing, but the vilify straw dogs as domestic terrorists that never did a thing to anyone.
I could go on and on, but the part that doesn’t surprise me is the radicals in DC and the newsrooms. The part that amazes me is the average democrats on the street who are for it. I don’t know if it’s Germany in 33, Russia in 17, or some banana republic in any-year, but it’s definitely unraveling.
I might suggest 1937. Close to the start of the “Big Show.”

I think it's more like Spain 1935.
The Spanish Civil war was precipitated by increasing Communist power grabs and terrorism against Christians.
And Hungary's White Terror in 1919 was preceded by "The Hundred Days of Bela Kun," who created the Hungarian Soviet, the second Communist government in history.
Augusto Pinochet was a reaction to Allende.
Red Terror can end in one of two ways. Either it's allowed to go full bloom into Stalinism. Or there's a reaction -- White Terror, Brownshirts, it varies. Sometimes the reaction is extreme (Hitler), sometimes less so (Franco, Pinochet), and sometimes there's a civil war (Russian, Spanish). But always, Red Terror ends in violence.
The U.S. is at a very dark point. A limited Constitutional Republic seems less and less an option. The Left keeps pushing for total control, the riots of 2020 only a taste of the Red Terror they have waiting in store for us.
The big question, can we regain our republic without passing through a period of civil war and Red, White, or Brown Terror?
