So let me get this straight. This guy publicly criticizes his superiors, won’t stop when ordered to, and is thrown in the brig. “What an injustice!! Free Lt. Col Scheller!!!”
Then its revealed this guy publicly criticized PDJT. “What? I’m having second thoughts now! Lock this kook up!!!”
If I hate anything, its intellectual dishonesty. And we are just as bad as they are sometimes.
I don’t hate this guy even if he is intellectually dishonest. I base my opinions on what I know of a person, reserving the right to change my mind as more data emerges.
This guy was presented one way but his own words make it clear he is very confused, angry and irrational.
Your post suggests that changing one’s mind as data emerges equates with intellectual dishonesty.
You might want to reexamine your hypothesis. I do not regret the $20 I sent based on his earliest presentation as a principled man being crushed by our politically corrupt military COC but I won’t be sending more.
It’s the demand for political purity. Many on the right are as bad as the left.
Someone got to someone. If he sent the tweets, he is cra-cra unless duress played a part.
The anger is a result of him slamming Trump with false accusations. Now maybe you agree with his assessment of Trump. Most of us don’t. But we do agree with his assessment of the military who surrendered in Afghanistan. Two different concepts. And his slander of Trump and his family looks suspiciously like an attempt to ingratiate himself with his superiors.

Trump isn’t above criticism either. I love much of what he did as president and agree with him on a lot, but sometimes the way he went about hitting back made me cringe.
I do disagree with Scheller’s opinion of Trump being responsible for the lack of unity. Unity requires coming together in good faith but the leftists and the media have attacked Trump and all who support him dishonestly and in bad faith. Unity in this country is breaking down because the left is actively destroying all the ideals and narratives that historically unified us.
