J. Michael Straczynski : Babylon 5 is in active development as a series for the CW ... this is a reboot from the ground up rather than a continuation, for several reasons ... {the } tradition for innovation will continue in this new iteration, and I hope to create additional new forms of storytelling that will further push the television medium to the edge of what’s possible.
Warner Bros said : In a from-the-ground-up reboot of the original series, John Sheridan, an Earthforce officer with a mysterious background, is assigned to Babylon 5, a five-mile-long space station in neutral space, a port of call for travelers, smugglers, corporate explorers and alien diplomats at a time of uneasy peace and the constant threat of war. His arrival triggers a destiny beyond anything he could have imagined, as an exploratory Earth company accidentally triggers a conflict with a civilization a million years ahead of us, putting Sheridan and the rest of the B5 crew in the line of fire as the last, best hope for the survival of the human race.
Zathras will be glad

Bring back the Kawasaki Ninja Lennier rebuilt.
Some idiot fox producer spiked it out of spite because Joss Wheedon refused to remove the happily married couple.
I won’t touch it with a ten foot pole. It will be a wokefest gay orgy.
That is what happened to Babylon 1,2,3, and 4.
They got woke and the rest was history....
;-)
Vorlons were the best—skip the woke characters and give Vorlons leading billing!
This makes me worry that it'll be just a woke remake of the original. Why does it have to reflect the world we live in? Why can't it be different and better?
A 3000 was my first computer. A bunch of guys at work made it a real cult. Mine had a 100 meg hard drive. The consensus was “you’ll never fill that up!”
How about an episode that features the Zathras family reunion.
The Londo - G’Kar relationship is unparalleled in TV history.
They were the same way at Dragoncon.
I’m glad I got to meet them both.
Other than Sheridan and Sinclair, I think between me and my wife ran into all the main B5 and Crusade people.
Claudia Christian was also very personable and nice to talk to.
I loved that show.
Sheridan’s battles against President Clark were well written. Clark was in the mold of a Hitler and even tried to destroy Earth when he failed. The episode of Sheridan as a captive and the psycho torture that was inflicted was epic about the evil of absolute power.
What SCARES me about this reboot is that Clark will be in the image of Trump. I loved B5 for the individualism in a joint cause. I fear it will be reversed in these WOKE times!
So many great characters… Bill Mumy, Jason Carter….
Intersections in Real Time, the torture episode scared me more than reading Darkness at Noon overnight on a Greyhound bus.
Lots of great people and guest stars.
Don’t forget the Kawasaki Ninja that we saw once. I’d like to have it come back to save the day in later episode.
I liked Dr. Franklin.
Bester the evil Psi Cop, another excellent one.
Bester was great partially because we had an investment in the cute and cuddly Chekhov.
Mollari. - “Understand that I can never forgive your people for what they did to my world. My people can never forgive your people. But I - can forgive - you.”
I think I cried a bit at that scene.
A Ringworld series would fantastic! My favorite sci-fi series!
I have tried to imagine who would play Louis Wu and some of the other characters. They certainly have the CGI to pull it off.
I just hope it doesn’t get screwed up the way Riverworld did.
Walter has range.
Heater’s fate is one of the books.
Read them ages ago.
