The man lies in eternal repose in a vale on the West Virginia side of the Ohio River. He gave blood, sweat, and toil to the formation of this Constitutional Republic. His blood is my blood, and I aim to make his sacrifices STICK; to act in all ways humanly possible to preserve the Union he risked everything to pull from the white-hot forge of war.
I do not dismiss secession; I simply do not prefer it as the FIRST best consideration. It beats resorting to the cartridge box by a long shot, but there is one far better option still, and I would, since The Founders established its viability, that we not permit the one option they coded into The Constitution to be the one option we leave untried.
