Wonder how much of that is the ‘debt traps’ that the Chinese are famous for?
I never read articles that have in their headline: “Here’s what it means for you” or “Here’s what you need to know.”
Somewhere along the way some brainiac economist decided we didn’t need exports and the trade deficit didn’t matter. The FIRE economy was going to save us. Idiots. China is cleaning our clocks.
Our leaders could not be doing a better job destroying America if they tried. Oh wait, they are trying. Our decline and fall is intentional, caused by the New World Order and their lackeys, our enemies from within.
USA R.I.P.
Debt traps?
The entire Belt and Roads project is a debt trap.
The renminbi is a debt trap.
Evergrande is a debt trap.
What do you expect when the world revolves around Xi?

RE: I never read articles that have in their headline: “Here’s what it means for you” or “Here’s what you need to know.”
What’s wrong with headlines that have these words?
Here’s what you need to know about this annoying sort of headline. It’s is a relatively new development and has swept thru print and online media like wildfire. “Journalists” fancy themselves independent-minded and completely impartial. Of course nothing could be further from the truth. They follow their stylebooks — and fashion — slavishly. For example they are completely compliant with the trannie trend, going to great lengths to discover a subject’s “preferred pronouns” and then using them without fail.
Electing Biden was a big mistake...
RE: Electing Biden was a big mistake...
Did the American voters REALLY elect Biden?
No!
RE: It’s condescending. It implies they know what it means for me or what I need to know.
Well, a lot of editorials are condescending then even without the “Here’s what you need to know” phrase.
Here’s another media propaganda goodie: “Here’s why you should care.” The media loves to keep that one in their Social Engineering toolbelt.
They took back Hong Kong because the treaty with UK expired in 1997. Nothing to do with Covid, years before it showed up !
Tech is going down in China diliberately. Their unemployment rate is 20% and their premier said that they need more labor-intensive industries (without factory automation, robots). I believe Pol Pot tried this before...
RE: Their unemployment rate is 20%
That’s not what is being officially reported...
Today’s China, or should I say CCP, is not the same CCP of Deng Xiaoping …Yes it is. Saying otherwise is to cling to the big lie we were told for the better part of five decades.
