Agreed. I think FReepers may be backing Regeneron just because we like De Santis.

It’s stunning that Biden the administrations feels free to blatantly deny life saving treatment to a sate just because they don’t like that state’s politics. The thing that is stunning is that the feel so free to just come out and say this. “Red states,” huh?

I think the vaccination rate is actually pretty good in Florida, if good is considered a lot of people getting it. But the least vaccinated group of all are black people.

Maybe it should be announced that Biden is withholding treatment from black people. Because he is.

DeSantis should just have his own Department of Health authorize the use of Ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID.

“Desantis should quietly withhold these drugs from heavily democrat voting districts”

Better yet require voter ID for treatment and turn away any democrat for being ineligible.

As it turned out, Pushaw noting that DeSantis was “committed” to making sure his state’s residents could get the treatment “even if we can’t count on the Biden administration” was a preview of what was to come later, as DeSantis announced just a few hours ago that he was trying to work with another provider – GlaxoSmithKline – in hopes of being able to purchase the antibody treatments directly, doing an end-run around the Biden administration:

Biden's response:

BOOOOYYYYYY!!!

What is the shelf-life of Regeneron’s mab? DeSantis should hold a press conference with the folks who can’t be treated when the state runs out of the reduced allocation. It will also be telling when states who have not established the infrastructure as has Florida have unused units.

Also note that the whole thrust of using mab is early treatment, pre-hospitalization. The effectivity of this treatment is greatly reduced when one’s condition is severe enough to require hospitalization. So what is the allocation based upon? In part, the number of hospitalizations.

RE: Also note that the whole thrust of using mab is early treatment, pre-hospitalization.

As is the case with the other two much maligned but effective drugs — Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine.

We're not going to give a greater percentage to Florida over Oklahoma.

Florida has 30 electoral votes to Oklahoma's seven. Florida is one of the most populous states and deserves a more proportionate share of the treatments over Oklahoma.
