Results from a Phase 3 clinical trial enrolling 29,960 adult volunteers in the United States and Mexico show that the investigational vaccine known as NVX-CoV2373 demonstrated 90.4% efficacy in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 disease. The candidate showed 100% protection against moderate and severe disease. In people at high risk of developing complications from COVID-19 (people 65 years or older and people under age 65 with certain comorbidities or with likely regular exposure to COVID-19), the vaccine showed 91.0% efficacy in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 disease.

I agree completely, however, you have to find a doctor willing to give you Ivermectin. That could be a problem. I intend to talk to my doctor about where I could receive this treatment should I test positive.
The real question is, what did you do to get attacked? Wives are usually peaceful creatures unless provoked.
But we’re lead to believe that there is no test for Delta.
Thank you for that.
Fascinating reading.
It would seem appropriate.

Ok I’m thinking timeline here.
Article is from March 2021, and the shots were being developed way before then, and were announced Nov 2020.
Question:
Since the Chinese gave us the info about the virus sometime around January 2020 (when exactly was it?), was that information used to develop the shots, or was the complete genome sequence used?
Did the Chinese give incomplete information?

Many thanks!
I was thinking that a shot should go after the whole virus, not just the spike protein.
I don’t like the idea of spike proteins from the shots going everywhere and causing issues in the body.
@ Bshaw
Blood clotting may still be an issue because you still get the dosage of spike proteins. But those spike proteins won’t get produced for an indefinite period.
We’ll see if this one gets approved or not.
You’re welcome and it is fascinating especially since it’s not a work of fiction.
A lot of folks are getting their medicines ahead of time from telemedicine sites. Here is one that is highly recommended. And it’s free:

I don’t know with certainty if the Chinese initially gave accurate information, but the complete genome has been sequenced.
I remember it.
Many people ended up with some pretty serious side effects and they pulled the vaccine.
What a difference 30 years makes.
Timelining again, it would be good to know when the Chinese gave their info to us, and when the complete genome was sequenced by us.
If our sequencing was done later, and the shots weren’t adjusted for the more accurate information, then there’s a huge problem with the shots.
A simple synopsis would have worked. Maybe even a few paragraphs
And there’s the rub, right? Who has it right.
Me, I’ll take the science magazine over a piece from an organization that was sharing office space with Hamas.
But that’s just me.
I don’t know the timeline or if the Chinese sequence was used to develop the initial vaccines. However, this is an interesting article on genomic surveillance and the effect of genetic mutations on vaccine efficacy:

You, sir, are blessed with very keen insight. Cheers!
Safe like Pfizer and Moderna?
With the Novavax, instead of Making your body produce the spike protein itself, they grow the spike protein outside the body, and encapsulate THAT into the ijection, so its a known amount, and your body isnt hijacked into making the spike protein. IMHO, this is Much preferable to the mRNA vaccines, at this time.
ITs still not ideal, since immunity to the spike protein produces a narrow range of protection. But I would seriously consider this one instead of mRNA and the other vaccines (Adenovirus vaccines, which do the same as the mRNA vaccines, they just use a different vector to get it into the cells).
