A very understandable move.
On the other hand, I'm sure the university sees this as a victory. It's like Hitler chasing Jews out of Germany universities. It doesn't really matter why these undesirables leave -- the powerful people are just glad to see them go.

A very rare man in today’s academia, a true believer in classic higher education that by it’s very nature demands free speech and critical thinking. His resignation is morally responsible but only serves to open the door for another professor cowed by the left into teaching liberal orthodoxy.

Their accusation? “Research misconduct” based on the absurd premise that the journal editors who accepted our intentionally deranged articles were “human subjects.” I was found guilty of not receiving approval to experiment on human subjects.
