Hearing you rave about your instant pot.....I need to unwrap mine. I got it as a gift a year ago & have never used it. Now I’m intrigued. Do you have to cut the ribs into individual pieces before you put them in?
“Do you have to cut the ribs into individual pieces before you put them in?”
If the are attached, you can just put them in a circle around the outer edge of the pot.
I buy the boneless ‘Picnic Ribs’ (Pork) and lay them on the grate that’s in the pot, with the liquids below.
After they’re cooked, I put them on a rack in the oven, slather them with Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce (or Famous Dave’s - love both!) and bake them at 400 for about 15 minutes to make the rib sauce stick.
HOWEVER, I HAVE done bear ribs (attached) in the Instant Pot and they were equally as yummy. We eat a lot of wild game and I’ve become kind of an ‘expert’ at fixing it after Beau drags it home, LOL!

Thank you lovely lady! What do bear ribs taste like???
We haven’t done ribs in it - we’ve done pork shoulder. But there are many people on Youtube who post videos of their experiments with it.
Your description of your pork shoulder sounded delicious. I now can’t wait to use my insta pot! Thank you!
#22 Why not just go to KFC?
Because they do not have a drive thru in my area!!!
So I go to El Pollo Loco.
I like to make low carb pizzas in my Ninja oven using low net carb tortillas and low sugar (read the label) sauce.
I put some avocado oil in the little pizza pan.
I wonder how the avocado oil works on chicken, it seems like it would work good.
I will try it with ground pork rinds for crispiness.
Pork fried chicken. Pork fried pork...and even fillet of sole or cod.
The one thing I find is that the pork rind coating can go soggy if you don’t eat it quickly don’t let it sweat. Low carb has saved my life.
There’s sort of a learning curve involved - it’s a lot more regulated and safe than the old stove-top ones, but read your instructions carefully.
Yes, Instant Pot.
It took me a few tries but after some trail and experimentation I have a low cost buffalo wing solution, both mild and hot that is as good as anything I have been able to buy in a restaurant. It is a little bit complicated to make but I love the Instant Pot, it cooks the chicken without drying it out.
I love my air fryer, a rather expensive Phillips, but the Instant Pot has it’s place.
On YouTube’s The Food Theorist channel they researched the Colonel’s original recipe and were able to replicate it pretty closely.

Like good BBQ Sauce, LOL!
To me, I treat bear like pork. There is no marbling of fat in the meat, so it’s very lean. Low and slow when cooking it.
Texture of pork, taste of beef but a little sweeter, to my taste buds, anyway.
