The Biden administration’s decisions over when to administer coronavirus vaccine boosters are triggering turmoil within the Food and Drug Administration, frustrating regulators and sparking fear that political pressures will once again override the agency’s expertise.
FDA officials are scrambling to collect and analyze data that clearly demonstrate the boosters' benefits before the administration’s Sept. 20 deadline for rolling them out to most adults. Many outside experts, and some within the agency, see uncomfortable similarities between the Biden team's top-down booster plan and former President Donald Trump's attempts to goad FDA into accelerating its initial authorization process for Covid-19 vaccines and push through unproven virus treatments.
On Tuesday, two top FDA vaccine regulators resigned — a decision that one former official said was rooted in anger over the agency’s lack of autonomy in the booster planning so far. A current health official said the pair, Marion Gruber and Philip Krause, left over differences with FDA’s top vaccine official Peter Marks. Now the agency is facing a potential mutiny among its staff and outside vaccine advisers, several of whom feel cut out of key decisions and who view the plan to offer boosters to all adults as premature and unnecessary.
POLITICO spoke to 11 current and former health officials and people familiar with the matter who described growing exasperation with the administration's disjointed process for implementing its booster plan. Those sources said there is little coordination between federal health agencies, even as two top FDA officials try to guide the rollout....
“Many, many, many” providers in southern states with coronavirus case surges are dosing health care workers and patients with boosters absent an FDA approval because of confusion over Biden booster remarks, said Helen Talbot, an infectious-disease specialist at Vanderbilt University and member of CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.....

The CDC got to give millions free rent, the FDA gets told to hurry up.

The bureaucrats were trying to slow the approval process so that the vaccines wouldn’t get approved until January 20. Trump got them ready in December.
Actually Pfizer was ready to go 3rd week in October.
There had been tons of Democrat propaganda starting in August that Trump was recklessly rushing things to “save his election”, and the FDA changed the rules in early October to prevent disclosure of trial results the way they were supposed to have been released until November 9.
I actually did a write up about this a few months ago, it was so outrageous.
I was cautioned that if it were published under my name I would be screwed because I would be found out as a “Trump supporter” (not that it would have been published anyway).

I’d like to give a few ‘boosters.’
It was destiny, perhaps. The establishment will not allowed Trump to get reelected. So that was that. Joe Biden is looking lame as President so I think they will find a way to embarrass him so he'll simply decide not to run for reelection. So Kamala Harris will get elected in 2024. The Democrats will have set everything up for her.
Joe can’t even pronounce Delta and he is supposed to be in charge. This situation is insane.
I was told yesterday by the director of the facility my mother is at that they would be giving the residents booster shots next Friday.
I asked if she realized they had NOT been approved by the FDA yet. She looked at me like I was from Mars and said “really?”
They had already sent her the vials. I told her in no uncertain terms that they would not jab my mom and she had better make sure it was legal for her to jab anyone else’s mom.

I just want to know if he could have used his authority as president to make these drugs....ivermectin and hydroxycloriquine, as well as Regeneron....available over the counter, as they are in many other countries.
